As an African American woman (a black woman), I was skeptical to buy it. However, I tried it and I love it so far. It gets to 420° degrees which is a great temperature for my hair and it really curls it. I used it the moment I received it. I went to church and got nothing but compliments from everyone around me. Now I feel I can't live without it.

It's a bit heavy and makes your arms hurt when in use. Much heavier than my last one from a different company that I loved. Also, the lock heat feature is difficult to work.

Easy to change from curling iron to flat iron. I use both on my hair when styling. My hair is thin so I like the temperature control. Heats up quickly. You do have to hold the on button for about three seconds for it to turn on. Great for traveling.

Purchased and thought that item had several temperature settings. Choice of settings is 400 and 380 degrees only on the item received. Large barrel works well for medium to long here.

The on/off button sticks, the temperature control buttons do not work. Cannot get turned down Below 400.

I have never owned a flat iron or item like this. Now I know why. It's horrible. Had it up to 420 and no change. Not worth it. Canceled the second one I purchased as a gift. Embarrassing
