Menkar Dog Harness, No Pull, Adjustable, Outdoor Walking, Pet Vest, Reflective, Easy Control, for Large Dogs

I just got this and have not used it yet. However, I have "fitted & adjusted" to my 4 legged partner. I already had a very similar harness that is really good . This looks to be equally well built and I think the addition of the mesh lining may be some help in hot weather? It was easy to adjust, I like the idea of slide locks on the catches and I really like the elastic expansion flex section in the body straps. I am really glad I caught this for a back up for our current harness. Overall, in comparison; I think it may be superior to the one we already have and I was lucky to see it on one of the limited time lightning sale deals ! ( regularly it is 33% less than our first harness, with the sale, it was 40% less ! ) THANKS(Addendum) Just got back from our mile+ run with the atv and used this harness to try out. Slight adjustment for fit and this works well. The hook up ring to clip lead is bigger and easier to use.**update: I have one important issue with design. It is individual dog specific depending on width between front legs as the harness part that passes between the front legs is fairly wide and may rub and irritate the "arm pits" of an active dog. Still pretty good for short "walks" or vehicle riding safety restraint use, but watch out when fitting this up that you have good clearance in the "pit" areas.

I purchased this harness for our 4 month old German Shepherd mix, Loki, who had outgrown his puppy harness. It's adjusted to the smallest possible size and is perfect for his 45-ish pound self. This harness will NOT stop your dog from pulling. It will, however, protect his neck while he goes into "sled dog" mode :) In all seriousness, pulling is something a dog will do until you train it not to.The harness is sturdy and the pup does not fight wearing it, which means it doesn't cause him discomfort. The ring where the leash attaches is pretty big. There is a handle just behind the leash attachment that you can grab if you really need to control your dog. This harness does not have a leash attachment under the neck. The buckles have a locking mechanism that you can use when you fasten it. I haven't used it, but tested it and they work. The stitching is well done and so far, after a couple of weeks of daily use, it still looks brand new.We liked it so much, I ordered one for our Treeing Walker Coonhound, Bulleit. (At least, that's what the rescue said he is!) He's about 60 pounds and the harness fits very well. I like the fact that the harness is well-padded because he's a short hair breed without much padding on him.I didn't receive this harness as a promo, so this is a legit, honest review.

Seems to be VERY well made. It won't stop your dog from pulling, it just won't choke them when walking. I've had it for a month now. It did not come with instructions which is ok since it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to figure it out, but they would have been nice to have. Harness just came in an Amazon box. I did have a little bit of a hard time getting straps to tighten at first. Yesterday, my dog was able to Houdini her way out of it and it WAS tight on her. Not all dogs will do that, I'm sure, but was so disappointed she got loose with it on. It is a really nice harness with a good fit if you measure your dog correctly. It fit mine perfectly.

My 75 lb dog is super quick and very strong. My trainer encouraged me to use a choker collar combined with a prong and a vibration collar . My dog is a rescue, and certain other dogs trigger complete insanity. She is otherwise perfectly sweet, well-mannered and very well trained. This combination of tools did not change her behavior when certain dogs cross her path. I became extremely concerned about hurting her neck, her throat and her back.Two weeks ago I purchased the Menkar harness.It's extremely well-made, lightweight, easy to put on and nicely padded. Also, the harness straps lock in place! This was a big plus!Along with the change from collars to harness, we embarked on a slightly new training program... LOL. While the harness does not prevent my dog from losing her mind with certain other dogs in the neighborhood, the handle on the top of the harness is a God send.Her behavior is improving and our walks are much more pleasant.

We have a 50 lb pitt mix, less than a year old puppy. Very powerful little dog . I didn't like to walk her with a regular collar because I had to choke her a lot to get her under control. Plus I don't have to worry about her slipping out of it. It has several places to adjust it so that it fits just right. As they grow, you can let the straps out. This harness is very easy to put on and remove. It removes all of the risk of choking your fur baby so you can train them to walk with you and you both enjoy it. Highly recommend.

I wish this harness came in a smaller size, but otherwise I love this for my pup! She’s very comfy in it, and it’s easy to get on and off. I would NOT label it “no pull” however. Since the clip is on the back, it does not discourage the pulling my dog does on the leash. But it does keep that pulling from harming her.

This harness is the best! Once you have the straps adjusted to your dog's size, there is nothing to do. It slides on and off over their head and then buckles on the side (which you can lock so someone can't unbuckle them). Gone are the days of trying to get your dog to step into the harness holes. I literally can take the harness on and off of him in a few seconds and he loves it. It has cushioning everywhere.I get asked all the time about his harness and I show people how easy it is to get on and off.He is a service dog, so his harness gets almost 24/7 full use and I have had no issues with it.Much less expensive than other harnesses, yet better quality!

It would’ve been better if it had fitted it needed to be a smaller size so I do not know how to return it so I’m just stuck with it
