Q: Is this product washable with the proper adhesive?

It's pretty fragile. I would try sealing it first.

Are you trying to put gold leaf on glass you need to use an adhesive. You can find it at Michael's you can also use a sealant to cover the gold leaf. Any clear spray will work you can practice on a scrap piece of glass to see if that is the look you're trying to achieve

Q: ? Do you need an adhesive to use the shhets

Yes you do, you can go to Michael's or any craft store and purchase the adhesive. You paint a thin coat of adhesive on the object. You need to let it dry it will feel tacky you can use a hair dryer to help dry the adhesive. You then lay the gold leaf on the area that you have applied the adhesive and you rub or use a brush the foil and the adhesive will hold. You can do this on ceramics on paper on cloth. But you will need the adhesive that is what holds the gold leaf and remember the adhesive needs to feel tacky dry it with a hair dryer and then be sure you have no adhesive on your hands or the foil will stick to you. When I use gold leaf on my ceramic pieces I have a sheet on the table and then tied around my waist and any gold leaf that is not stuck by the adhesive you brush off with a brush and it falls onto the sheet. You then can brush that together put it in a ziplock bag and reuse it. I hope this helps you with your project

Q: Can you use this on walls?

I use this gold blue on my artwork. You have to have a glue that is put on the surface first and wait until it is tacky and then you apply the gold leaf and smooth it out with a soft brush. It can go on the wall, this gold leaf can be applied on almost anything even on fabric. Be aware that it is easily scratched off. If you're going to use it on a small section of a wall where there isn't a lot of traffic you'll be okay.
