This takes around 60cc. It’s sturdy and easy to brush mica powder in. I’ve made 20 or so. Looks great with metallic mica in different shades. I put brown on body, and shades of metallic silver in wings. Perfection!The pic shows how I mounted in on a base using a small oval mold I have. Any coaster type would work or use your imagination. You can see how I made a different wall hanging with a 3D star mold I have and the eagle. Great product

Looking at the mold before using it for resin it looked very well made it was very thick and the designs on the inside were very clear but when I used the mold the mold stuck to the resin and I had to cut the mold to get the resin out the mold is still stuck to my resin piece and won’t come off

We're working on a an interior decoration project to turn a kid's room into a forest with a LOT of owls lining the top of the room (the kid really better like owls) and we've got a bunch of different owl resin molds (some are reliefs like this one while others are full 3D) and while the 3D ones are really cool none of them have quite the level of feather detail as this relief mold. It has made painting the feathers for each different cast of the mold we make with different color themes really cool. Even though you know you're looking at multiple casts of the same owl, that high level of detail and using different based resin colors and then adding different detail flourishes has made each one look so distinct when placed on a painted tree branch along the top of the room.***Resin Amount Needed***As stated, this being a relief instead of a full 3D owl mold, means it can afford to be a little taller and wider than some of our 3D owl molds which are maybe 2/3 or 1/2 the height and width but use just as much resin because they're a 3D cast. So the trade-off is fair and considering the detail here, I really don't mind using the resin that it takes to fill the mold in this case.***Filling and De-molding***Being a relief mold, both filling and de-molding are easy and reallllly hard to mess up. As long as you've mixed your resin and hardener in even proportions and properly cured it, this thing pops out highly detailed resin owls with minimal effort. It's fantastic. Pour. Cure. And pop it out. This has become one of our favorite molds.***Overall Value***I genuinely can't praise this silicone mold enough. It's got nice thick walls, high detail, and it has produced 20+ owls with breaking a sweat or showing any signs of wear. For $10 (at the time of review, although there are coupons and discounts available, so it could be even cheaper) this mold is fantastic. It's beautifully detailed and resilient. This kid's room is going to look great, or terrifying if you don't like owls...or are a mouse.
