It worked!
We used this as an attempt to stop our 6 year old from sucking his thumb and it worked. Along with incentives each week, he was finally successful (after many times of trying)!! The Velcro stayed intact and he was able to pull on or off as needed. He did complain that his arm was falling asleep one time, so make sure it’s not on too tight! It kept his elbow from bending to his mouth, however, if he was thinking about it, he probably could have leaned his body down to his arm, while in bed, to suck his thumb, but he didn’t because he was truly trying to stop. Recommend!!

Special needs
We use this for a special needs non verbal child that self harms - pulls her hair out, hits herself, scratches her face. After she’s able to calm they are removed and it’s really helped minimize her injuries
