John Guest3/8SCV Plastic Push Check Valve, White, 3/8 in

Is there another check valve that will work better on a chlorine/water pump 3/8" line? these develop a leak. possibly john guest can respond.

How many come in the package?

Is $13 a normal price for these? seems expensive

Will this work to maintain the prime of a kitchen soap dispenser? (I had to use long 3/8 tube, down to container sitting on shelf)
