Dye Shield is convenient to apply. Dyeing kits come with small sachets of similar material but once the sachets are used up, then I need this. The applicator is easy to use and the sponge around the side helps me apply the stain protector evenly and without spilling. The dye shield does work, so I plan to always keep this handy.

It works as advertised but not really any better than the usual home solutions like vaseline. I'll still give it 4 stars since the applicator is at least convenient and less messy than scooping vaseline out of a tub.

Somehow I always wait the last minute to do my haircolor. That means I use the whole bottle and wait nearly an hour, with the dye on my head. Well, as we know, there is no way to avoid staining the skin in that situation, until now. I apply a little of this cream to the hairline and ears, and as much as I could around the head to make a barrier so the color could not get to my skin. it is better than Vaseline as its not as gunky and greasy. My skin was protected and this wiped off cleaner. It was worth the time to apply to not have to scrub my face clean after I colored. Excellent way to avoid disaster during a home color ! Recommend.

This certainly helps when I am coloring my roots at home. I put it around my hairline including on top of my ears. It makes a huge difference to prevent those stains from soaking into my skin!!

I hate coloring my beard then having it stain my face. This protection from perm solutions and hair color staining on the face and neck. This dye shield works as a resist, so color cannot be absorbed by your skin. It was pretty easy to apply but it does have kind of a weird consistency. Not greasy but almost kind of sticky. This dye shield is really good and it works great at doing what it says.

Let me start out by saying that this does work. However, it's basically just expensive Vaseline.

What you get - 1 tube of hair dye ShieldPros - you put this in areas that hair dye is likely to get on such as your forehead and around your ears and it stops the dye from staining as it acts as a barrier. It's very easy to use, it works, and you don't need a lot of it.Cons - the main issue is the price. Although it is slightly easier to use than vaseline (which hair gets caught in a lot) it is not easier enough to justify the price point for me.Ovearll - it works - but I wouldn't order it at that price.

This stain proof gel works great. You just squeeze a bit out and spread it using the applicator along your hairline. It's really thick and gooey but it works well and washes off with ease when you're in the shower washing off the hair dye. Would definitely recommend. It's reasonably priced too.

i think they should try to improve the the colour shampoo in a way that's not leave the marks on skin.

This hair colour stain protector helps the dye to stain where is no hair on the skin and making it easier for dye application.

My wife uses hair dye at home at fairly regular intervals and often seems to manage to get it on the tops of her ears and sides of her face. I thought this stain protector might help her - and it did.First of all, she found the applicator very handy as it can be applied a bit at a time as needed. It looks like a clear gel when it comes out and she likes the fact that not only will it protect her skin from staining but that it also contains several nourishing ingredients. It is primarily made from aloe which is advertised as being able to be absorbed into several layers of the skin and be beneficial. It has a subtle scent which is pleasant and an added bonus. It worked as intended to stop her skin staining from the dye so no visible dye marks on the ears or sides of her face - she said that she will certainly be using it again.

I have lots of baby hairs on the front of my hairline, and dying my hair red often leaves me with bright red staining on my neck, face, and ears for days! I'd tried colour removal wipes, but they sting and cause my skin to react, so I was happy to discover this cream.The cream has a light fragrance, which is quite nice, especially if your hair dye doesn't smell the nicest.It takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out how much cream is available to us in the area. as you don't need to use a thick layer. The first time, I didn't use enough to provide a good enough protective layer. The second time, I used a bit more cream, and it worked really well to protect my neck, ears, and hairline. It doesn't completely stop staining, but I think it would if you used "normal colour" dye, as brighter colours are the worst for skin marks.But it did significantly reduce the staining and the brightness of the staining, to the point where I felt comfortable going out the next day, when normally I hide at home for at least 3 days waiting for the staining to fade!
