Nice light weight fire brick. I use a torch to remove gaskets from from caps. It works great.

VERY SOFT. WORKS.
I could see how some people's bricks arrived damaged. Mine were great, and they work I made a mini forge from 2 of these, and a quality blowtorch. But yeah if you drop one of these they would crack im like 99% positive... you can scratch away the foam brick with your fingernail for example... could take a bite out of this if it was edible. soft but easy to work with and seems to insulate pretty well. I love love love how easy I could drill this material was silly easy.

6 of the 8 I purchased were BROKEN
Absolute trash. 6 of the 8 were broken. I took them from my house to my shop. There is no way I broke six of them... These are EXPENSIVE and for what I paid expected better quality. Go find a local refractory dealer instead. No way to ask for a replacement with out sending these back and I need them NOW. BUYER BEWARE
