Cable ties with a tab for writing something descriptive (with an ultra-fine DVD pen)
Cable ties with a wee tab for writing something descriptive. The tab is quite small. I initially tried them with a normal, fine, pen for writing on DVDs and could easily get a four-digit extension number, but it would have been difficult to get more without sacrificing legibility. I changed to an ultra-fine pen and got "fax" plus the four-digit extension on one ... and had space for a little more. So, use an ultra-fine pen and it's good.As cable ties, they do tie cables. They don't tie thick masses of cables together, but why're you buying cable ties on which you can write something descriptive if you're going to use them to tie masses of cables together.

Very small tag area
Of a length usable with a variety of leads and cables including mains leads, Ethernet and other data cables. However, the tag plate is really quite small, 20 x 13mm which really limits how much information can be written on them. The dimensions also limit the size and content of any adhesive label, paper or plastic, that can be affixed. If you use plastic tape and an electronic label printer, two lines of text may be a possibility if your printer supports the option.Bought for a purpose but not ideally suited.

They do what they're intended to do
They do what they're intended to do, but I would have preferred a little more space on the tab and the ability to use a gel pen, rather than having to use a CD marker, where the text is quite thick. They're easy to fit and I've not succeeded in snapping one yet, which suggests that they're quite strong if you want to put one round a bundle of cables.

Organising the computer room is now possible
These simple little cable ties mean that when I am contorting around at the back of a computer desk trying to cure a fault, I at least can see which USB cable feeds what device. In the industrial market and server farms you will of course see coded cable markers but when you are working a specific issue it's a huge aid to be able to mark a couple of cables that you are interested in and not need to carry a code book into what can be a tight, dark, area

Four Stars
Very neat cable identifier but not markable with standard ballpoint pen.

Tied and Tested!
This is excellent for keeping everything in order, you can use a sharpie to permanent mark the individual devices. They tie nice and are easily cut off if you decide to use the cable for something else. Has made my life a lot simpler, especially when things go wrong after a while and you don't know what's what.

They hold on tight!
There's not much to say about these, other than they are ideal for the job you think you need them for! I used them to label cables I was running through walls and they handled the cables being moved around and coiled up whilst carrying out plastering and painting. Perfect.
