Edited to add: Update June 2016 I loaned it to a good friend as back up over the Memorial Weekend as he had to off road a good distance to camp. He ended up needing it but was concerned about the length of the strap as the other guy got himself in a pretty hard bind. My friend has an old, gigantic full sized Blazer and he was able to pull out the other full sized SUV, a Toyota of some sort that was in pretty good. Now he wants one for himself so he is just going to keep mine and order me another one. I did look at it when he came back, I noticed very little wear and tear. Mostly just got dirty lol. So I feel more confident in these straps now. Hope that helps. ~~~~~~~~~~ I've used more than my fair share of tow straps with 4wheeling and campaing. However, I purchased this item for my emergency kit for my SUV so fortunately I have not had to use it. I can say that the product looks and feels well made, rolls up tight and small and I'm considering getting another to replace one of my older straps in my pickup. I would trust this with no problem.

This thing is a beast. When my 8,000lb class C RV broke down on a highway off-ramp, this strap (and the passing trucker who performed the tow) got me out of a whole pile of trouble. I've since used it to drag several cars out of mud and snow with my SUV. This is a fantastic tow strap that performed perfectly in an RV emergency, but I'll probably be keeping it my SUV, and getting the 30,000lb model for my RV. Regardless, made sure you read up on the methods for safely using loop-end tow straps. My preferred method is to simply shove the end through a tow hole on the disabled vehicle, and put a short 1" diameter hardwood dowel through the end of the loop to keep in it place. Theoretically, the dowel will act as a safety and fail before the strap or the vehicle frame breaks.

I have gotten a few of these straps now and use them all the time. Very well built and can handle about anything. These are a must have!!!!
