How do i know if my kid will fit?

In my opinion, this chair is for a child of average size up to four years old. It is a small chair but well made. My granddaughter is 15 months and it fits her with room to grow. It is lightweight like a big tv pillow. It's cute.

Does this tip over easy? Looks like it would. Looking fir my one year old

Yes, unfortunately, it does. My one yr granddaughter loves hers tho; they just keep it backed up to the wall or furniture.

Will an average 6-7 year old be ok in it?

It would be to small for a 6-7 year old. The chair is good for 2-4 in my opinion!
