KAIZONPOT 60" x 24" x 6" Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Hitch Mount Folding Vehicle Cargo Basket 550lb Capacity Hitch Cargo Racks for Car

I was not compensated for this review and I bought this with my own money. This review is for the “ KAIZONPOT 60 X 20 X 6 Inches Hitch Rack Cargo Carrier 500lb Capacity Hitch Mount Folding Cargo Basket ” paired with a “MaxxHaul 70209 Cargo Carrier Bag - Heavy Duty and Water Resistant 47" x 20" x 20 Black“ on a 2020 Escalade RWD.I find this hitch carrier to be sturdy, the welds look good. I’m 180lbs and jumped up and down on it (see video) and it felt sturdy. I’m about half way into my trip now and I see no problems. Building it was easy, about an hour (and this was with a 5 year old “helping” me…). It goes together easily I only glanced at the directions once to see how the hitch bar is oriented. I personally wouldn’t stretch this past 200lbs or so when you consider that road conditions (car bouncing or swaying as it drives) causes constant vibration and flexing on the weld points. I have no evidence to suggest it can’t really hold 500lbs, I just think personally I wouldn’t put 500lbs on it. Consider too that there’s probably a calculation that determines suitable weight based on the arm length from the hitch. I find that the distance it sticks out from the hitch is appropriate, if not just a tad too long. Overall for the price I find this 5 stars. If I come across any damage or separating during this 20 hour cross country mountain trip, I will update my review. If you see no update below, that means I stand by the above.EDIT: I am back from a 7 day trip to the smoky mountains and can confirm it withstood the hills, bumps, freezing weather, and terrain of a 1600 mile trip. I jumped up and down on it after the trip was complete and can confirm no change in strength.

I used this cargo rack for a cross-country road trip with my 2016 Honda CR-V, and it worked out really well. I carried 2 totes and a 6-gallon water jug.Pros:* The rack sits far enough away from the rear of the car that the hatch won't hit the bins, and I could step between the rack and the back bumper to access the stuff in my vehicle.* It folds! I was able to unload it and fold it up when I was out in an urban area and didn't want my stuff exposed or my car to be extra-long.* The folding also helped me take it on and off the trailer hitch. Kept the center of mass in a better location.* Grate and rails meant lots of attachment points for bungee cords. The height of the rails was great for containing my stuff.* Comes with lots of reflective stickers.* It was easy to assemble.Cons:* The welds on the support rods did not survive the number of times this thing scraped on the pavement because my hitch is low, but that's not exactly the product's fault. In the future, I would buy another piece to raise up the height of my hitch.Neutral:* The material isn't the strongest. At this price point, I would expect this. I backed into something (oops) and the rack was destroyed. But hey, the thing I backed into sustained almost no damage.Overall, I will be buying another one to replace the one that I wrecked. This is a great item for periodic usage. If I were going to keep it on my vehicle all the time, I might opt for something more heavy-duty.

The only problem I had was that there was a small weld on one of my pins and I had to use a grinder to get it off so the pin would go in.

This is an excellent product, it’s big, sturdy, easy to put together. If you get you a hitch stabilizer to attach to it, it’s a solid secure ride with no jiggling or banging around. Perfect for long trips or Anything you can imagine hauling around, this product is exceptional. 💯

The 2" tube section that fits in my 1-1/4" to 2" receiver adapter made the rack stick out too far from my bumper.No problem as I simply cut off about 4" and re-drilled the lynch-pin holes using the proper tools.This rack also makes it very easy to haul the rolling garbage bins back up my uneven steep dirt driveway!

This was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. I stood on it and it easily held my weight (280lbs). Have not used it on the road but plans are to use it to carry items like an ice chest, chairs and other items on short trips.

The packaging was extra careful. Each piece was covered with rigid flexible foam protection, tied by hand with zip ties. everything loose was in a sealed plastic bag, and then in side a protective envelope. Instructions were plentiful, more than necessary actually. the quality of the fitted pieces were perfect. The care in which the product was manufactured was evident throughout. From opening the box to final assembly took no more than thirty minutes. Great product and well worth the money!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this cargo carrier to carry our 105 lb generator on it for our business. As soon as we placed it on the center of the carrier we noticed that it bent the hitch support bar. We didn't even get to use the carrier and drive with it. The hitch support bar was longer than expected which made this carrier unstable. This carrier was made poorly, it is weak and inferior. If we try to drive with the generator on the carrier, the carrier will break the support hitch and we could lose the generator. I am returning this. My video shows me on the carrier and exactly how weak and wobbly the hitch is, how and where it bent and where the holes are out of alignment (in the folding position). We could lock it down but not lock it folded up. The holes also look drilled. The carrier also leaned to the driver side after installing to my hitch making it unstable. So beware, The structural integrity of this hitch carrier is in question. And it's disappointing because there aren't too many carriers out there with the right size and weight we needed. I am not happy! It took us over an hour to try and put this together and now we've got to take it all apart just to return it! I am returning it defective. Amazon needs to refund my full price I paid. I will add another comment after refunded.
