You Light Up My Drive
I have been looking for low beam LED upgrades for my 2016 RAM 1500 ever since we moved to a rural country setting. In the city, you don't notice the brightness of your bulbs because of the city lights. In the country it's a whole new story. After some research, I found the Torchbeam line of replacement LED lamps to be some of the best. Important to me was that Torchbeam LED lamps closely mirror the size of the OEM halogen filament. This results in minimal, if any, need to adjust the headlight after LED lamp installation. After my install, the beam from the new LED's was perfectly in line with the original bulb beam. This alone should be reason enough to consider Torchbeam.Heat sink fan for these bulbs appear to be good. This is my first experience with an LED bulb so I knew little about the fan and heatsink to keep these bulbs from overheating. Time will tell, but from what I've read, the heatsink for these lights is well designed and will provide for a full lifespan for the bulb.Installation. This is where I should have looked a little deeper into the DIY side of replacing the bulb on my truck. What originally convinced me to push the order button was the little quote in the product description "5 Mins Installation, Just a Simple Twist". This is actually correct, if you don't take into account the hour it takes to get to the headlight fixture. I actually made a video of the process because there was not one on YouTube (hard to believe). Outside the additional work getting to the headlight fixture, the lamp installation is quick. One note. There was no mention that the driver (similar to a power brick on a charger) for the LED lamp was external. It resides between the light plug and the LED lamp. A little extra work will be involved securing the driver inside the headlight fixture. To help accommodate the install of the driver, Torchbeam includes 2 double sided sticky pads and zip ties. The actual install and placement is left up to the installer because no direction is provided for this. It's not a huge deal, but given I had zero experience installing LED lamps, it did give me a moment of pause to come up with a solution.I am overwhelming pleased with these lights and will recommend these without hesitation. The road at night is now completely lit up in a nice white light, versus the yellow that is representative of regular halogen lights.

Some of the worst
EDIT: STAY FAR FAR AWAY! Well these didn’t last long, one burned out after maybe 1 hour of use total, as being the most expensive LED that I’ve used, you figure you could get more than 60 minutes use. I’ll stick with my usual LED lights that are still going strong.I’ve used several different brands of LED’s since I bought my Tacoma brand new in 2017, (replaced the yellowish halogen’s in the first week of ownership), and I got to say these have been the clearest, brightest, and whitest of them all, but they are the most expensive too, if they last it’ll justify the cost.A true plug & play.No hyper flash or errors. When my SEALIGHT high beams start to fail, ( they cost $65 ) I’ll consider Torchbeam to replace them if their low beams last like the other brand has.Right now I highly recommend them.Stay bright!
