Bosch2608602384 Rapido Multi-Construction Straight Cutting Disc

I bought these 5 Bosch branded grinder disks and 20 cheap grinder disks so I could cut up a lot of angle iron and do a side by side comparison.These disks are thin and cut the steel accurately without getting hot but, they did wear down as expected.One of the disks had a slight wabble and when it got up to speed it shattered as soon as I started to cut the steel. It would be scary if you have never seen it before but it can happen with any disk at any time. The disk was mounted correctly and fully tighten with the nuts so it wasn't operator error.Side by side comparison with the cheap ones using the same grinder cutting the same materials. The Bosch disks worn-out at exactly the same as the cheap ones and didn't offer anything extra for the added expense.Would I buy them again? Short answer is no. They cost four times as much to do the same job and one of the disks had a manufacturering defect which, could have been very dangerous. I own a lot of Bosch tools and normally I would use Bosch branded accessories. I will continue to buy Bosch bits but not these disks.Cheers joe

These are good little discs for day-to-day usage, but they are a little bit thin for anything other than light trimming / removing old nails.I used all of my recent purchase on a single job last week, which consisted mainly of cutting out old nails, a couple of M12 bolts and one small piece of angle-iron.Keep a tight grip on your grinder / cutter, as these things can 'bounce' back at you faster than you can blink.Goggles and gloves are a must!

I could not find these Bosch Rapido Multi-Construction Straight Cutting Discs cheaper anywhere else. As it is BOSCH I did think the disc would be a bit more durable and longer lasting
