This replacement grill/ cover piece arrived well packed and was in perfect condition. The original grill became brittle after nearly 13 years of sun here in central Virginia and simply disintegrated in the center leaving a gaping hole. I was going to take a "before" picture, but when I tried to lift the old grill just to test how much resistence there was, the rest of it broke apart. This made removal simple as it came out in about a dozen larger and many more small pieces. Once it was out and I saved the little star head screws, I lined up the new piece and saw it was going to go in cleanly. A few tips on installation: 1. The adjacent plastic defroster covers were extremely brittle as well. I broke one corner by trying to lift it right at the end nearest the center of the windshield. You can see that piece in my picture. Instead, move your fingers about 6 inches away from the center and gently pull the piece toward you as you lift. Once it's raised about 1/4 " place a pencil or a wood shim under it resting the pencil or shim on the dash. Repeat on the other side. These pieces need to be slightly raised so the tabs of the replacement cover will slide in underneath. 2. Gently pull the sun sensor away from the windshield and toward you in the front seat. Turn the cover 180 degrees around so it's facing "backwards". Place the replacement over the sun sensor and secure the two star head screws through the cover tilting it first one way then the other to get at the screws. It was very tight in there; I'd recommend using a 2" long screwdriver. Nothing longer will fit. If you try to secure the screws with the sun sensor facing the windshield there won't be enough room to get a tool on the screws. 3. Once the screws are seated well but not overly tight rotate the cover with attached sun sensor back around around so the sensor faces the windshield again. Make sure you aren't turning the piece 360 degrees and putting extra tension on the wires to the sensor. Turn back toward your starting position. 4. Gently slide the cover and attached sensor forward so the tabs go under the side pieces you raised in step 1. It should slide in easily and fit dead center. 5. Align the back of the grill cover so the tabs on it are over the openings in the dashboard. With a hand on either side, gently push downward on the top of the cover until the cover is flush with your leather dashboard and the tabs are seated. Remove the shims or pencils and gently re-seat the defroster cover pieces. This took me about twenty minutes from start to finish. Although the replacement piece is black and my dashboard is truffle I think it looks fine. There are enough other black trim pieces in the car so it blends in.

Das Speaker-Cover passt problemlos in einen X250, allerdings lässt die Verarbeitung zu wünschen übrig. Die Perforierung im Bereich der Lautsprecheröffnung ist unzureichend und ungleichmäßig gearbeitet. Für den Fall, dass kein Centerspeaker verbaut ist, ist das zu verschmerzen. Andernfalls besser nach einem anderen Produkt suchen, da der Schallaustritt deutlich behindert wird. Preis im Verhältnis zum Originalteil jedoch sehr gut.

My Jag dash grill cover cracked and looked ugly. The dealer wanted more than 10x (?!?!) this price just for the part, plus of course their installation fee. But they were willing to simply charge the installation fee if I provided my own part. Which I did, with this one, and it is identical in every way to the original equipment. Goes to show that it pays to do a little bit of research if the price of a part seems out of whack!
