The Terracotta Dog

Quite a fun read.it is a murder mystery but the the best part about it is the development of different characters and the sheer humour.

Very entertaining and a wonderful insight into the Sicilian mind and culture, thoroughly enjoyable and I am already planning my next trip to Sicily

Once again Inspector Montalbano works his way through a criminal plot. He makes mistakes, but in the end ,helped bycolleagues and a friend or two, solves the mystery. He is a man comfortable in his skin as long as he is not obliged to venturetoo far from "home". He loves his food and wine, and the little Towen in Sicily where his the Comissario,(Inspector). The Inspector Montalbano stories are always an enjoyable read.

It's exactly the kind of story I really love. The well known investigator refuses to be in the 1st page and prefers to solve the other enigma even if it is 50 years old.The style is light, easy to read (perfect after a day at work) and full of cultural references.I recommend it of course.
