First and foremost, I've been a personal trainer and intimately involved in both physical culture and nutrition science for over 20 years. I teach people all the time that the most superior protein powder for health and muscle recovery is whey protein concentrate. NOT all the "fancy" isolates and hydrolyzed proteins out there.Nonetheless, I have been searching high and low for a quality whey protein concentrate derived from grass-fed cows milk ever since Defense Nutrition stopped making their "Warrior Whey" years ago. I believe I've finally found just that with Pounamu. This protein powder is of far superior quality and value than all the other popular brands out there, even other whey concentrates. It's incredibly affordable compared to other brands with the "grass-fed" label, too. The taste, ingredients, and nutrient profile are very similar to the "Warrior Whey" I used a long time ago, which is something I like.It also mixes so easily and completely, whether it's in water or milk. I even was able to mix it with 6 oz. of milk in a shaker cup - WITHOUT a wire whisk ball - and it still mixed perfectly in less than 30 seconds. It doesn't clunk up like a lot of inferior whey isolates do. Plus it has its own natural creamy texture (even when mixed with cold water), something you also won't find in many other protein powders.All in all, I don't think there's anything about this product I don't like or approve of. I'll be a lifelong customer so long as they stay in business. I plan on doing my part to help them do just that!I can't highly recommend this protein powder enough. When you consider everything from the taste, texture, easy mixing, and cheap price for such a high-quality protein concentrate, you really can't find a better deal.

Just want to warn you that if you wanted to warm this up at all (I mix vanilla protien powder and cocoa powder to make hot chocolate. I only heat to under boiling temp as to not cook it. Works great!), it tastes simply aweful! However, if I mix it with some sweetener and cocoa powder and ice in a blender, it makes a pretty good chocolate shake type drink.

I am enjoying this protein powder. The flavor is not super strong on vanilla but it does have descent flavor. I mix it with fruit in a smoothie. I have a smart scale and my protein level has increased since I have started using Pounamu Vanilla Whey Protein Concentrate Powder. It mixes in easily with a blender. No chalky texture. I do enjoy this and I will order more.

I love this brand. It still doesn't fully taste like it has regular sugar but it also doesn't have that nasty taste I experience with stevia or other zero calorie sweeteners. I love that it's a simple formula and the flavors are rich! I have the chocolate and the berry. I usually mix it into smoothies and oatmeal and it works so well!

I used to buy the unflavored one. But because of some tricks by Amazon, when I clicked buy again, Amazon put a flavored one in my cart. Trusting that I put the unflavored one, I bought it. It's only when I drank one serving that I realized that it wasn't what I was looking for.I once bought the vanilla-flavored version of this. It made me sick. When I drank the berry-flavored one too, it made me feel the same way. Whatever these flavors are, they make me sick with headaches and pain in the body. They probably affect your liver, raise your insulin level very high or do some other things.There are a couple of brands out there who have that problem. The whey protein itself is fine, sometimes of a good quality as for this brand. The issue it the flavors. I wonder if they put too much of the flavors or the flavors are simply toxic!Don't buy the ones with flavors! Not only flavors don't taste good, you might get sick from it.Buy the unflavored one instead. It tastes very good, and does develop any moldy smell over time, unlike some other brands.

The mocha flavor is great. It tastes what it is advertised as. The powder blends smoothly and i dont get chunks in my drink. Its a good value for what you pay. I highly recommmend this product
