Yeah, they look silly
Just got fitted for hearing aids and the wind noise was unbearable but leaving the aids out for riding was a non-starter for me being the Captain on a tandem. These made a remarkable difference and wearing the aids on rides OK. I did have to mess around with my helmet straps a little so the product would sit closer to the front of my ears but once that was done I was happy with them.

It works. Really.
I'm deaf, and must wear hearing aids to function. Cycling without my hearing aids is not an option. I must have full hearing to remain safe. On the other hand, I have been tormented by wind noise for years. So much so that I started riding less and less. I finally decided to see if there was some product out there that could help me. So, I purchased the Classic Cat-Ears, although I didn't have much of an expectation for success. Well, IT WORKS. From my very first ride I saw a 95% reduction in wind noise. And my auditory function for street noise was not effected at all. The instructions suggest having glasses temple pieces outside the helmet straps (and the Cat-Ears as well). I didn't find that was necessary. They work fine with the temple pieces inside (i.e. medial to) the straps. One reviewer said he didn't like the way the Cat-Eyes looked. My helmet straps are black, and my wife said she could barely see the Cat-Eyes. (Frankly, I don't care what I look like while riding. One of the benefits of being 71 years old.) In summary, this is a terrific product that allows me for the first time to enjoy cycling without battling wind noise. I don't review products very often, but I had to in this case. It was well-worth the small investment.

Yes, wind noise reduction
I got both the Slim and Classic versions to test. Started out with the Slim on one ear only. Knew within 100 feet it worked. I can only guess that those who said it doesn't work tried both ears at once so didn't have an immediate AB test. And if you did it in a noisy environment like a highway or busy street, it is difficult to discern wind noise.Even for those who mount both at once, there is an easy way to tell if they are working, simply point your eyes straight down at the road: you will hear immediate wind noise as the Cat-Ears are now out of the picture. For the same reason, I'd guess that these will not work for triatheletes or time trialers on elbow rests, the Cat-Eyes simply won't be in the wind in front of your ears and cannot trip the wind around your ears.I switched ears just in case, but same story, the ear with the Slim Cat-Eyes had a dramatic reduction in wind noise versus the other side.Next I tried one ear with a Classic, and one ear with a Slim. Identical performance with head forward interestingly enough (virtually no wind on tested day). However when head is turned even only 30 degrees, the Classic still tripped the wind, and the Slim did not. The Classic will worked at even greater head angles. Tested both versions with both ears as well. Same story. So guess which one I sent back? Yup, the Slim. Super benefit for having to wear a helmet - I mostly don't and listen to a lot of wind noise but headed for Australia/New Zealand to go touring where it is the law.Downsides? A bit warm where it touches the temple (ambient temperature was 75 degrees).

Given my head shape it is hard to get them tight enough to my head without having the strap chaffe
They kind of work in normal installation style if I have my chin strap tighter than I would like. If I twist the straps 90 deg so they cut into the side of my face, they work great, until the straps pop back flat again. I am going to try to get some foam to put on the inside of the fabric to hopefully seal the wind better from going behind the fur and into my ear.

These really work!
My wife and I purchased a pair of Shokz OpenRun Pro headsets to allow us to communicate on bike rides without yelling. Unfortunately, any time we rode faster than around 10 mph the super annoying wind noise totally drowned out our voices and made them nearly unusable. After contacting Shokz they had us go through a procedure to reset the headphones. No improvement. So then we purchased a set of these Cat-Ears and placed them on our helmet straps just in front of the Shokz. We could not believe the difference these made! They completely eliminated the wind noise! Very disappointing that I had to purchase these to make up for the shortcomings of the Shokz, but we’re so happy we can now use them.

Just what I needed so I can hear my AirpPod Pro
When riding my bike with airpods in I couldn't understand a large portion of the speaking from a podcast, even with them on noise cancelling mode. After installing these silly looking things I can understand my podcasts reasonably well even with the airpods on listen-through mode, which I believe is much safer so I can hear the environment around me on the roads.

Stop ringing in your ears
Commuting on my 28mph ebike I was noticing ringing in my ears for hour after the ride. This wouldnt occur on my regular road bike with slower average speeds. These stopped the ringing. Yes they look silly but they do work.

Funktioniert!

Daher hier keine Kaufempfehlung

Looks terrible.
I couldn't even try, zero effort in making it sleek. 30€ for atrocious looking fur. Why would you need fur in the inside anyway. Anyone can stop wind noise there with that ridiculous amount of fur.

I can now hear my podcasts
Only used a few times but definitely seems to help with reducing wind noise. You need to make sure that it fits snugly against your face and the lie of the fur is facing forward (into the wind). The installation instructions aren't really that clear, but you have a 50% chance of getting it right. I tried both ways and it was pretty clear which one was effective.I haven't used it in hot weather yet, but I did notice the longer fur becoming a bit sticky against my face. I had also ordered a pair of the Airstreamz version (which is more dense curled fibres and firmer than the faux fluffy boa material of the classics) though have yet to give them a go. I will probably do so as the weather warms and review them separately.

This exceeded my expectations by far!
I wear hearing aids, both ears, completely in canal. I use Aftershox bone conduction earphones when riding, so I can still hear ambient noise. Unfortunately, I can hear wind noise too, amplified by the hearing aids. Wind noise completely removed the option of listening to music or podcasts while riding. I tried making my own wind noise reduction system using soft foam stuck to my helmet straps, but the results were not great. These Cat-Ears are expensive for a simple fur fabric held on by velcro. But once I put them on, I was in a different world. Don't expect miracles - cycling into a headwind is still noisy. But on an average low-moderate wind day, these reduced wind noise by a lot, maybe 80-90% for me. I can now listen to music and podcasts, and still hear essential sounds around me, such as cars. These are a one-off purchase that should last years, and I highly recommend them
