Good for dads, bad for daughters
My dad is the hardest person in the world to buy gifts for. You ask, 'what do you want, dad? What does your heart desire? What useless material possession can we give you that will evoke a pleasant emotion?' And every time his response is 'nothing'. To all dads reading this, I beg of you, don't do this! Make a list of inexpensive items that, even if you don't want them, you wouldn't hate to be given them. You will save your children hours of stress and worry. So it was this last holiday season. What could I give him within my budget that would mean anything at all? How could I possibly give him anything, when he already has everything? Then it came like a flash of lightning one day while we were driving. I had purchased a John Denver CD months before, and every time dad drove, it was played, sometimes on repeat for hours. As I heard 'Leaving on a Jet Plane' for five billionth time, something inside me snapped, and I said to myself 'how I wish we had another CD that dad liked!' Then I remembered. The only music my father has ever requested I play for him. If you're reading this, you've probably guessed it. Creedence Clearwater Revival. With renewed vigor I pulled out my phone! For once in my life, I had hope! I truly cannot express the thrill I experienced knowing that I would be able to give him something he didn't even know he needed. The CD arrived and I lovingly wrapped it in leftover wrapping paper, placing it beneath our behemoth of a tree. And I awaited Christmas morning. I woke up early the dawn of December 25th, 2019. My first thought was not of the gifts I would be getting, but of the CD, and the knowledge that I would soon be rubbing my gifting skills in my brother's face. We sat around the tree, and after several other gifts, dad picked up the unassuming package, and opened it. There was no sign on his face that he felt anything at all at the sight of it. 'looks good,' he said. 'thank you.' For my dad, this is a declaration of intense fondness for the gift! I was thrilled, and soon forgot about it. Then, sometime after the new year, we went on a drive, and he played the CD. The first time through I enjoyed it. There were songs that I knew that he didn't! We sang along and bonded over this seemingly insignificant CD. The second time through, I enjoyed it, though there were one or two songs I wished he would skip. The third time through, I put on my headphones. The three hundredth time through, I vowed that I would invent a time machine, go back in time, and make sure the parents of every single band member wore a condom. My days are haunted by these songs. I dread going out. When I hear the opening chords of the first song, my fight or flight is activated. I will never know peace because of one simple mistake. If you, like my father, greatly enjoy CCR, buy this CD. But woe be unto the daughters attempting to please their fathers. Turn back now before it's too late. (I later found out CCR isn't his favorite band. I dread next Christmas when I will forget the lesson I have learned and buy a Three Dog Night CD.)

Has Most of the Hits on one Cd
This is a great Cd of the hits one after another on o e cd the only low point found was the songs Suzi Q and Heard it through the Grapevine are edited to their shorter version which for me was sad as they are two of my favorite songs which I then had to buy the 3disc version cd of hits to get the long version of those songs. But it is a better version than the original greatest hits Cd Chronicles.
