HARMONY SINGER Vocal Effects Stompbox with Guitar-Controlled Harmony, Reverb and Tone

I am an acoustic guitar player in my 60's. After jamming with a friend who is a real pro performer, last year, I decided (after he stuck a mic in my face) to buy a microphone and give singing a try, after a lifetime of telling myself that it wouldn't be possible. I bought a Boss VE-2 vocal pedal. I achieved enough progress that family and friends thought that I was on to something, and should keep going. The pedal was fine. Lots of features. Maybe too adjustable. But the only pedal I knew. I recently bought the Harmony Singer 2 just to try. I received it yesterday. I played around with it for a couple of hours. It is by far the better choice for me. More straight forward. The harmonies sound more natural. The vocals in general have a little more power and are much clearer than the Boss pedal. Less feedback issues. This is a great value. Takes less space on my pedalboard. Buy it! I now believe that any musician should at least give singing a real shot. Go onto your favorite guitar chord web site. Transpose the song closer to your vocal key. Don't be afraid to use a capo when needed. Give yourself at least several months to see if there is a spark there. This pedal with a quality XLR mic and an acoustic guitar might take you farther than you imagined. It's not auto tune. This is really fun and I'm excited to play more now, than ever. Singing has made me a better player. IMO a vocal pedal is a must to get you started.

I bought from Bailey Brothers Music, 3rd party. It came in ,2 days. No directions or manual & no power cord. There is a picture on back of HS2 box showing the connection. I had to buy a XLR cord to go from Out on HS2 to in on mixing board. Your microphone plugs into the HS2 also. Then your guitar plugs in to HS2 with 1/4" cord & other end to guitar. You also need 1 more 1/4" patch cord from HS2 to mixer. So, 4 cords coming out of HS2. I bought a separate 9 Volt power cord for $7.00 & it all works great. You can find several videos on U-Tube to see it's attributes before buying. It is the coolest device, especially if you're a solo act. It harmonizes to everything you sing, unless you turn that off. I haven't figured out how to use my harmonica with it, unless I turn off Harmony every single time i do harmonica riff; the harmonica produces loud high feedback for some reason. There are multiple degrees of Harmony in it that matches your voice. Unbelievable. Treat yourself to this toy!

The reviews were right. The "Tone" button alone (+ the mic gain) is worth the price. I don't think I can - or want to - sing without the extra boost anymore. If you don't go overboard with the harmony levels (I never go beyond 2 or 3), they sound quite natural. It will create harmonies even without the guitar plugged in, but of course, they sound way better while following the instrument signal. I ran it through both an acoustic amp and Alto speakers with the same, great results. The harmonies are not perfect but as a vocal enhancer, this little pedal is amazing. The reverb function - specially on "Room" setting- is also really nice. I got this as a cheaper alternative to Electro Harmonix's Voice Box (who needs the Vocoder or the 'whistle mode' anyway?) and I am more than pleased. It's a great, enjoyable toy that makes singing a breeze and/or a great tool for live performance.

The most user friendly vocal effects pedal I've ever used. I'm really impressed with the high end re-verb settings and the harmonies. My YouTube account name is SeelysLive. I'm using the harmony setting that is a third above the melody and some club re-verb. I've found that it works best when used during the chorus on slower songs and ballads. Higher tempo songs with complicated melodies will make the harmonies sound a little robotic. I mostly use the harmony setting that is a third above what I'm singing. For the songs I like to play that sounds the best, although the other settings are fun to mess around with. I gave it 4 stars because when my wife sings through it and uses the harmonies it distorts her voice, and the harmonies cut in and out. We are still adjusting the settings to try to remedy these problems so hopefully it will work out.

Love this pedal. If I want Crosby & Nash backing me up - I got it. If I want Carole King on the chorus - I got it. Art Garfunkle harmonizing with me - I got it. Everly Brathers that too. Very cool to add realistic backup singers when you are a solo performer/ Voicing on the tone section ( mostly compression) does add to the sound and it has a good continuously adjustable reverb. Easy to connect. The trick to use is learning when to leave out some picking runs you might normally add (I'm a fingerstye player) and just hit a solid chord during the vocals. Can always toss the picking in on an instrumental. Sometime it works well to keep the run as the harmony will follow the instrument - you can play off it and get harmony shifts while you hold a fundamental. Depends on the application - have to work with it to figure what works and what doesn't. I'm having lots of fun with it. I was concerned that I would not like it as much as I do when paying the price, but I think it's well worth it for the right players. Also strikes me as a high quality - well made product.

Mine came but did not work. I am sending it back. Also they don’t include the 9v adapter which I think is just a cheap cheesy move. It doesn’t work with the batteries or an adapter. If I could give this a minus 10 I would.

For the price of this device. It does ADD some interesting sounds. I was hoping that it would be better. Harmonies can be difficult for some of us. But with the instructions not being very clear, and no help from the actual people that sell it I have to give this a medium review. It does create some harmonies. And I have plugged in music so it should be able to pick up the harmony of the music. But for some reason I don't think it does that. Or at least mine doesn't. I've seen people play just guitar into it and it seems to pick up harmonies. But when I try it with it hooked up with a headphone jack. It doesn't seem to figure that out fast enough. For an item that just does one thing I wish it did it better.

Currently this is the CHEAPEST and the BEST vocal harmonizer on the entire world. Get it while you still can.

A great bit of kit, it really smooths out my voice on just the Tone control, then the addition of the harmonies just takes my singing to another level and the reverb control makes an excellent addition to my setup, I would definitely recommend

Annoying humming sound, pitch issues, volume cutting out and flimsy knobs. Tried upgrading firmware as suggested. Software does not work. Scoured the internet and all I could find was complaints of a lack of solution or reliable support for the product. Clearly something has gone wrong with this company. Never buying this brand again.
