Great product, but you need to prepare before using it...
This does exactly what it should. You only need a small amount as it swells very quickly it's very sticky and when it dries- it dries. You cannot stop the flow from the tin completely once started as a slow trickle keeps flowing (which actually stops the tube clogging), so a pot / container to put the tin in between sessions is necessary. Mask off areas and wear proper clothing as this will go everywhere. It's a great product and I really recommend it, but my lack of adequate preparation cost me a pair of gloves, a sweatshirt and half a Virginia Creeper.

A female do it youself and do it better
What do you do when the plumber and electrician have destroyed your wooden floorboards? First you employ a 'tradesman' who nails down a couple of boards at great expense, and still leaves you with big gaps between the boards where the tongue and groove used to be.So then you buy youself some expanding foam, ignoring all the warnings from said tradesmen and incompetent d.I.yers that say 'oh it's awful stuff, hard to use, gets everywhere, you can't control it' etc, etc. Well, I used it, carefully, as per instruction, and I think it's brilliant stuff. Prepare yourself with old rags, old clothes and disposable gloves and you can't go wrong. It is certainly not as lethal and hard to remove if you drop some as they say. Be cautious how much pressure you use when pressing the trigger. It fills long narrow gaps that normal filler would fall through like between floorboards. You cut off the excess when cured then sand it. You don't need to use it all in one go because you just bend the nozzle back on itself and attach it to a special nib on the can, and this method of saving the rest for another day absolutely worked. I would definitely buy more of this product; I wish I'd had the guts to try it before.

Faulty
The foam itself is very handy with a couple of plastic gloves taped inside the cap. I was sealing some holes to exclude draught. Previously I was buying it from B&Q.This one I bought here was faulty. After I applied it the first time it continued slowly pouring the gas whatever I do. I was lucky I had not much to do so I quickly used whatever I could and then had to leave it outside to went it off to bin it later. Not great.

Good for filling gaps and cracks
Had a few large gaps to fill in my kitchen and this expanding foam works a treat. Simply attach the nozzle and shake quite a few times. Then spray into the gap you need to fill. Wait about 30 minutes and the foam will have expanded quite a bit. You can then cut or sand away any excess.

Does what you expect well.
Does what you expect, shake, fill hole, allow to dry, cut back, sand down, cover, job done. Not tried to paint over it for what I needed it for but it's reasonably dense (but still light) and sands well with no big air bubbles so should be okay looking when painted. Being able to reseal and reuse later is a bonus so I could use the same tin two weekends in a row to finish some DIY without having to buy another tin, which is good as it's not that cheap. Work of warning, this stuff is super sticky, if you get it in your hair/soft furnishings forget getting it out, so take the time to clear the area ready first.

Roof hold fill
wirked fine but hard to work out how much to use. Overfilled hole and cut off more than left in filling. Very much a one use can so wait for plenty of big holes and don't overfill. Can always top up a few mins later.
