Good product, BUT it does not contact the CPU
This is a quality product, but it did NOT work for me. My Pentium4 2.53GHz computer has had a similar Intel cooler/fan atop the CPU since I built the system years ago. The fan became noisy, so I purchased the MASSCOOL as a replacement. The MASCOOL fan is quite, the finned aluminum cooling block comes with thermal paste pre-applied, and installation is very easy due to the included metal clips.PROBLEM: My system kept shutting down after 3 or 4 minutes of run time. Apparently, the MASCOOL cooling block is not actually contacting the CPU as it should. My computer's voice prompt CMOS kept saying, "System will shut down due to excessive CPU temperature" (or words to that affect), and then it shut down.Upon removing the unit, the pre-applied thermal paste appeared completely unmarred, indicating that the underside of the cooling block did not actually contact the CPU as it should.I reinstalled the original Intel cooler/fan, and the computer is running normally again.

Performs well.
I purchased this fan to replace one that had failed. I am pleased with its performance, so far. It came with everything I needed, including a small package of thermal-conductive paste. It is not super quiet, but is comparable to the one it replaced, not excessively loud. If you're simply looking to extend the usefulness of an older PC or build a unit using older components, this fan fits the bill.

Doesn't touch the cpu, not good!
This heatsink doesn't fully touch the cpu as mentioned by another reviewer, temps were reaching 70C!!! Replaced it with the stock Intel cooler, temps don't go over 50C. The bottom of this heatsink is flat, whereas the stock cooler has a lip. I think the lip ensures proper contact. The copper version of this heatsink has a lip.
