PranaMen's Sutra Pant

I first learned of these pants when shopping in the Mountain High Outfitters store. Since I bought my first pair, I immediately fell in love with the fabric, the cut and the overall weightlessness of them. The only problem I had is because of my height, I had to have each pair hemmed up to prevent walking on them. I wear a size large and the waist always felt slightly loose. Not knowing Amazon carried the prAna brand Sutra pant, I was shocked you could actually pre-select your inseam size, which for me is a 30-inch inseam. This made all the difference when I received them and tried them on. Though the waist was a smidge snugger than I'm used to, I think the cut and the material is still high quality. I suggest you measure your inseam, then select a size above what you normally wear, if you're looking for a bit more room around the middle. These pants are awesome! They are extremely comfortable. I told my girlfriend that these are my new travel pants because I enjoyed them so much on the airplane. (no belt also makes going to airport security that much easier) One of my favorite things is that these look like "real" pants, ie almost like slacks, but they feel like pajama pants. I'm 5'8" with an athletic build, and these fit me perfectly. In the interest of full disclosure, I will note that my pants did get "pills" or "bobbles" after just one use (before wash), as some other reviews mentioned. I knew that might happen going in, so it's not a big deal to me. The knit of the pants is more coarse and helps to conceal them, so I don't think it is very noticeable unless you are up close, but you might be more of a stickler for that kind of thing than I am.

This thing really runs small in the waist. I have a 32 inch waist and the small fits me fantastically. The medium was WAY too big. However, it's supremely comfortable for around the house and looks good enough so that you don't feel like a slob if you're out and about in them. My only wish is if the fly was functional, even as a button fly, because if you need to pee, it can be pretty uncomfortable pulling the waist down for "access".

I have an athletic build with large athletic thighs which some referred to as football player build from walking jogging and martial arts. Consequently I am very leery of ordering things online. So glad that I discovered this product. I now have the evening each color! Very comfortable very versatile and a little bit of stretch for activity. I recently wore one of them to a meeting paired with a button-down shirt. Everyone thought that I had on linen pants or something. Love them! I have lost track of how many compliments and inquiries I get when I wear them.

I gave this a high rating and yet I returned these pants. I have tried this type of pant before and they were great. However for whatever reason it seemed that these were not really 30 inch inseam, but longer. I had to send them back.
