Does this slide off the back of their head easily? We seem to have a problem keeping them from sliding off even when adjusted properly

The adjustment gear is on a strap around the back, near the base of the skull. If you tighten it enough, the helmet stays put. It helps to brush your child's bangs up and out of the way so that it grips their forehead adequately.
