Where are these tools made?

No idea where they are made but don’t buy them because the quality is terrible.they are so out of tolerance that they can’t be used at all and we’re a complete waste of time and money. Do not buy this product

In what direction does the bolt go to remove a harmonic balancer on a 2011 nissan juke

Can’t tell you because the quality of the tool was so bad that the socket would not even fit inside the outer lock but ring as if it were never even tested for use at all…total waste of money

What is the 4th picture about? Why are shims being used ?

I am not sure why shims are being shown. On a 2005 Civic, no shims were needed; the tool fit directly. The socket did work very well and rather quickly.
