It should work just fine on the sheepdog. Are you shaving the dog? I get a lot of "summer cuts " this time of year and my clipper works great.

Will this works on dairy cows?

NO!!! This product did not work well on our terrier. In fact it overheated& the plastic parts broke. It is unusable now. Buy clippers that are intended for use on horses.
