Good Fan Motor, but the Wiring
WE were replacing an old R22 system 3-wire 1/6 HP fan motor. The unit only included a a small piece of paper that noted to use the QR code on the motor for wiring instructions for this 5-wire motor.. My son said the QR code was no good? Initially when we referenced the NAmericanHVAC.com web site it simply listed many pages of small fan motors. We search the web for a 5-wire motor wiring diagram. We could not find anything until we searched for a 1/5 HP motor, K55HXNTL-4884. Found a Protech wiring diagram. Upon further investigation the NorthAmericaHVAC.com website K55HXJGH-2667 motor included a YouTube video that included a guy sitting at a desk instructing how to wire the 5-wire motor. Wiring includes swapping the brown or purple wire to get CW or CCW rotation. Then connect the Yellow and non-connected Brown or Purple wire. In our case we connected the Yel & Brown wires. Another example of Amazon not vetting the vendor to simplify the product installation. We did receive the motor the day after ordering!

It has easy direction wiring diagram for direction and I use this on my air conditioning. Fan condenser works great exact match. What had before except a better one. This is the upgrade and the price was reasonable. Make sure you put on a capacitor two with it a new one this is a 220 V system Shipping was great And the packaging was great too no damage it fit perfect

Motor came to us guaranteeing it was previously tested & worked properly
The start up cycle was not connected from the outside wiring to the inner portion of the unit, so the motor would not work. It did not have a full 230 volts to make the motor run.

More wires!
My original motor had 3 wires. The new one had 5. There were instructions on the motor, I believe, for 4 or 5 wire installation. But not 3 wire!In the end, I had to replace the entire AC condenser. But this motor is a good replacement, if you can figure out the wiring.
