Perfect weekend binge read!
✨Warning: once you start, cancel your plans! It’s fast-paced, super addictive, and full of “Wait, WHAT?!” moments. If you like thrillers that mess with your head a bit and make you question everyone’s sanity (including your own 😂), this one’s for you!

Best book to date!!
I don’t ever leave amazon reviews, but this book!!! It’s super easy to read, the writing is clear and easy to follow. The storyline is super addictive and keeps you guessing right until the end. It’s without a doubt one of the most gripping books you’ll ever read, especially if you like good twists and using your imagination. I’m now hooked on her books, I managed to read this book in just three hours, nothing captures attention for this long usually.

Below expectations
I heard a lot about this book and so my expectations were high. However, for me personally, I felt the plot was unbelievable and the writing was average. Yes it contains a lot of twists and it’s easy reading. However, it reminded me a lot about how I felt when I read Gone Girl for those of you who know what I mean.

5 stars
I picked up this one for a light read with my morning coffee, only to end up reading the whole book in one day. This story absolutely captivated me. Frieda writes in such a way that makes reading effortless, gripping you from one chapter to the next.

Plot seems implausible but it kept me hooked
I can't remember what was the trigger to buy this book but it seems to review well (and has sold huge numbers). I think I may have confused it with The Maid but I liked the sound of this book so decided to give it a go. By the look of the cover it's going to be great.I'd not heard of the author but was interested in her combination of medical and psychological thriller writing as careers. I was also impressed with her long list of novels. This book has 328 pages split into 61 chapters and was first published in 2022.From the start it is clear that something awful has happened. We are then taken back a few months to find out what. There are plenty of secrets and some very weird events. The readers senses are heightened and there is a lot of suggestion. The narrative starts looking from Millie's perspective - she is very cautious of her environment although is not an innocent party which adds plenty of layers. The concept of the plot is tight with a small cast of characters making it an unchallenging book to read but there are enough twists to keep the attention all the way through.Gradually the story moves along, all the time keeping enough tension to make you think it is all going to go wrong at any moment. The prologue has introduced the idea of a body in the attic but there is a lot to be discovered before the book gets to that.Complexity is added and, whilst it all seems implausible, I did get hooked in and I loved the ending. It seemed unlikely that this book is going to be developed into a series but that is what has happened and I'm definitely going to get the next one.

different and interesting
Interesting story and great characters. Was intrigued from the start and wrapped up very well. Easy to read, well written and have already bought books 2 and 3 in the series. I’ve just found a new author.
