Easy installation on the 2017 Mazda 3 took me less than a minute.

Dealership was asking $90 CND to replace this filter. Or $35 for two and 1:30 minutes of my time. Easy job!

I was not aware of this, even though I paid to have this filter replaced several times. I though it was a difficult process, and did not look into it further. Until I saw a few videos on YouTube about how to change the cabin filter at home.When I took the old filter out, the filter looked as if it was not replaced since 2017! My thoughts are that is was never changed and I was charged nearly $50 to replace it....many times!Enter the DIY vehicle owner chapter of my life. This is not the first time I caught maintenance that I had paid for but was not completed. I have promised myself that I will do small maintenance tasks myself on my vehicle moving forward.The quality of this filter is excellent. The filter is identical to the OEM version. The installation is really easy and even if you are not skilled, you should be able to install this cabin air filter yourself in only a few steps. You can search on YouTube for videos, this is what I did. I was amazed at how simple it was to remove and install. You also do not need any tools.The cabin air filter (CAF) is found behind the glove box. You open the glove box all the way and squeeze the sides inward towards the back of the glove box. The glove box unhinges and you can open up and see behind it. The CAF is the one on the bottom and it has a pull tab. Just pull it out and keep it flat (this keeps the dirt and dust inside). Replace it with the new filter and have the pull tab on the outside bottom. There is an arrow to indicate direction. When you insert the CAF fully, you can squeeze the sides of the glove box and close it gently.The process was less than five (5) minutes for me and saved me money in the long run. We now enjoy fresher air in the cabin of the vehicle, the quality of air is noticeable within the first day of changing the filter. The air is fresher. The air filter that came out was gross and it was clear to me that it was not changed previously.All in all, this pair of cabin air filters are an excellent value. At the time of ordering, the price was $35 for two (2) filters and less than 5 minutes of my time. The cost for two filters was LESS than ONE CAF service at my dealer, and I know that this time it was done.I highly recommend this product to complete a much needed service of replacing your cabin filter. I will be inspecting this filter with every change in the season and I will replace it when needed.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.
