Insightful read for folks thinking of embarking on a start-up. Would recommend it, especially if you enjoy the TV series.

I think they took advantage of how popular the show is and tried to bring in some extra revenue. It tries to play textbook but in too few pages. Ends up very superficial. I regret buying this.

These 284 pages read much like a discussion and challenge the reader to assess whether owning and running a business is for them. The chapters are relatively short but in this book you will cover: your strength and weaknesses as a potential entrepreneur, legal structures, marketing, selling, networking, launching your business, financing your business, writing a business plan, developing a product and so much more!! Complete with personal essays from each one of the Sharks and real testimonies of those who have appeared on the show, you will walk away with a realistic approach to business. Much of business is fraught with success and failure and that is one thing this Author emphasizes throughout the book. Also included in this book are tools and resources for you to put to use when you are ready to begin the journey of entrepreneurship and trust me, they don't leave anything out. After reading this book, you can expect to walk away with a wealth of insight to starting your business, but this is just the beginning. As the author states, this is just a starting guide so be sure to take advantage of the recommendations and put into action the lessons you learn.

Great book to get your head in the mind set for business. Nothing too in depth is explored but it is just a good general guide on some tips and mentality of running and starting your own business.

A very very useful book, filled with suggestions and insights from the sharks. I love also all the suggestions for further reads and websites to learn more.
