There are little negatives but the looks of the assembled rack and its value for money over-ride the bad-ish news . For just under £30 I can easily think that in the shop it could be over double this price . It looks pretty and quite classy I would say especially if you adorn the top of the piece with 2 or three ornaments or plants . A good idea in a hallway . More good news with this 90cm long version is that each of the 2 shelves can easily take 3 pairs of men's shoes ( 4 ? ) I would think 4 of women's (5 ? ). I know some people seem to have been unlucky with the assembly but I didn't . However one thing I did find was that when you put the legs on ( the first part of the assembly process ) do not tighten the bolts up fully as you will probably need some wriggle room when you then proceed to attach the shelves . So assemble loosely with all bolts and screws and only then tighten up . The unit will not collapse as the bolts and screws tighten up beautifully solidly though this means that the assembly is quite hard on the fingers . A price worth paying in my book for the sturdy finished product . As always with self assembly jobs , make sure you are certain that you have the bits and bobs the right way round when you start the assembly process thus avoiding getting upset because you do not follow the good simple instructions that are included in the box . Having two , what look like durable transparent protective sheets to go between the shoes and the racks is a nice touch too . Lastly I wouldn't sit on it despite the weight bearing claims of the advert . No big loss I wouldn't have thought . I am very pleased with the product .

So easy to put together and really strong! The material is good quality and can hold my weight! I am currently using it for plant and shoe storage!

Arrived on-time, well-packed, easy to assemble. A little flimsier than I would have wished for - but this is really down to me choosing a lower-priced variant of the various ones of these on the market. Looks lovely in-situ (the finish of the top of the bench is a lovely golden varnish) and holds 8 pairs of footwear. The shoe shelves are only just tall enough to hold walking boots (i.e. boots that come over the ankle) - but it is doing what I needed it to do. I suspect in a household of non-gentle people (wild kids who use things not quite as intended during play?) it might not last too long before one of the shoe shelf slats gets broken. But for careful adults, it's very good value.

This is a sturdy, reasonable well made rack which can be used for more that just shoes. The premise that it can hold weight is substantiated , in that we use it as a shelf unit, under the stairs cupboard and this maximises the use of space. As well cans of beans, 10Kg Rice bags, my tool box, potatoes, onions and the odd bottle of wine. I have left the review until now to assess the weight and use of it. Pro's - easy to assemble, comes with relevant screws and bolts and a fairly easy guide, such that one person can put it together very quickly. Surprisingly lightweight for its durability and strength. Con's - Instructions do seem to be for another rack, not this one, no "Allen Key" so you will need to check you have the right one to fit the bolt. Also to really tighten, use a pair of pliers. The actual construction is using glue rather than joints or screws, which is minor concern, yet could have strength issues possibly in the future. Regardless of the Con's , its still a product I would buy again and for is very useful and handy.

This is a really nice shoe rack, easy to assemble, sturdy and looks great, holds about six to eight pairs of shoes depending on your foot size, without using the top shelf

Pros: The product itself is lovely, very sturdy. It’s great value for money and helps keep things tidy. Fits perfectly into a small space. Easy to assemble. Cons: Originally bought as a birthday gift. Due to arrive the day before the occasion. Even though someone was at home to collect the parcel was delivered to a random block of flats down a side street. Complained to the seller although they were not very helpful and said it had been delivered (to the wrong location). Luckily the parcel hadn’t been stolen. Beware of splinters. Due to the circumstance and unhelpful customer service knocking a star off. Although ordered a second time and had no issues.

It is very flimsy but it does the job. The bamboo in the two tiers is super thin and one of the planks came with a crack. Me and my partner sat on it and it didn't break, but again it doesn't feel super sturdy. Delivery was quicker than expected and putting it together was super easy. It can hold about 8 pairs of shoes (90cm bench) and it's not too chunky so perfect for our little hallway. It also came with some plastic sheets to protect the shelves which I think it's a nice touch. Overall it's ok, it does the job and looks good.
