Heart warming and upbeat!
This was such an up-beat as well as heart -warming story! As an ex primary school teacher I was really pleased to see the correct colours of the rainbow used and not dumbed down. Freya goes on her adventure and works through finding a solution to catching her own rainbow, even if it turns out not quite how she expects. Her expressions are beautifully captured, I love the cat and the grandchildren loved trying to count all the rainbows in the book. It was also great to have a Dad not a Mum in the book. Super story!

Heart-warming rainbow quest
This is such a fun book about a plucky little girl that just won't give up trying to build her own rainbow. It's really great for yonger children to learn their colours and also for slightly older children to join in the hunt. The vibrant, colourful illustrations are a real treat too.

A fun and uplifting story to share.
We were excited to read this book because The Perfect Fit and One More Try by Naomi Jones are two of our favourites! This bright, colourful picture book is such an enjoyable book to share.Freya loves rainbows and would love one of her own so she sets off to catch one! She tries her hardest to collect something of every colour! Unfortunately it doesn’t work out quite how Freya was hoping it would. Freya has to use her creativity and imagination to make her wish come true.We loved reading this story together. I could just imagine my son trying to catch a rainbow like Freya and it was easy to identify with how she was feeling! The illustrations are gorgeous and really capture all of Freya's emotions throughout the story. We loved the ending and my son was inspired to go and create some rainbow pictures of his own!We enjoyed going back through the book to hunt and count all the rainbows. There are more than 100 to spot!

A lovely story about determination and the wonder of rainbows
Naomi and Ana's picture book together is a delight that young readers will enjoy reading again and again. Freya loves rainbows (we all do, right?) and wants to catch one to have as her very own. Except she soon discovers that finding a rainbow isn't as easy as she had thought and making one for herself is even harder. But Freya doesn't give up and as she goes on her journey with her trusty, cute cat to keep looking, she eventually finds one right outside her door. With embedded facts to help young readers learn about rainbows and lots of rainbows to hunt for in the illustrations, this is a perfect introduction to this wonderful natural phenomenon. Ana's illustrations are super cute with lots of rainbows to hunt for. And the facial expressions on Freya's cat are just delightful. A lovely read!

A gorgeously illustrated book that explains the science and special nature of rainbows
A gorgeously illustrated book that explains the science and special nature of rainbows, with a determined main character and plenty of opportunities to talk about colours. This would be a great read to young children at home and school. Little ones will be crying out to dress up as Rainbow Hunters just like Freya!

Gorgeous book!
This is such a sweet book, and kept me turning the pages until the very end. Rainbows are always a source of wonder for children (and their grown ups, too) and this book taps into that fascination. The main character, Freya, sets off on a mission to hunt a rainbow, but when this doesn't go to plan, she learns an important lesson along the way. By the end of the story, Freya finds that she can celebrate rainbows in her own way — even if she can’t make or catch one. This gorgeously-illustrated book is great fun and also includes a simple explanation of rainbows, as well as a chance to talk about colours —and lots of opportunities to count rainbows! Great stuff!
