OK. I bought two of these for my Son and Daughter. So these are Nintendo 8-bit games not original arcade ones. Which is good in terms of their playability and quality. Basically they are not original arcade (cabinet rom) games. This is good as those can be difficult for younger players as the cabinet rom design was to get the player to put more money in. :) So if your child is between 3 and 10 as there is something good they can play here. It only takes 3AAA so in terms of battery life and cost it is good as well. Light unit and compact and portable. No sprawling cable for a console... Has a good galaxian, pacman, smario, dig dug, gradius, excitabike etc. So the NES 8-bit variants. Basic and very good because of that. Quick to start / boot. No touch screen which is great. Not trying to be everything to everyone. Not trying to emulate every know system. I am really happy with the item.

I was a bit sceptical of this device thinking the games would not be the same as the ones I played back in the day but how suprised was I. I have played most of the games I played as a youth. It was great to relive these games and brought back loads of memories. We used to lead included and connected it to my TV and have spent hours playing the games with my kids. At first they said "is that it" and "the graphics are not very good" but when I explained that these were the very first electronic games and came with huge consoles compared to todays and it was cutting edge they were in awe. This is worth getting for kids of today but make sure you have a go as well just to bring all those memories of the arcades on the pier..

It’s also a lot smaller than I expected. The games are not modern and it’s very fun to play old games like Pac Man and Mario. For some people these games would be an new experience but for others it would be a throwback. I could of easily spent hours on it going through all the games until I win one. This would be really good for kids on a long car journey or just something to take anywhere it reminds me of a DS but is more retro and less expensive. I really would recommend this product to anyone.

This was bought as an encouragemnt gift for my child who is preparing for 11+. The reason I chose it is that we can spend timw together, as this console takes me and my husband back to our childhood. We can share stories with our children the games on this game console revoke for us. All round a win win fpr our family. We now keep it for the long car journeys to keep the kids busy and distracted from bickering!

Great little gadget for passing the time. The content is amazing. It literally has all the games I remember playing as a child. Put some Duracell batteries in it and hasn't run dead on me yet. This will definitely keep your kids entertained on long car journeys.

this exceeded my expectations it arrived quickly well packaged and was very well received by my Grandson. I took a chance and bought 2 so I could keep one here for him, brilliant value for money

Okay, so this was slightly smaller than I anticipated, see picture, but it has in no way affected its charm! If anything it just makes me more inclined to take it out.The only thing I'd recommend is, complete housework etc before purchase. Or hire help. I've hardly put it down at all today.At least when I played these originally I had a grown up to tell me to stop..Yes it's a bit basic, but taking the price into consideration it is certainly good value for money. It's a shame it doesn't have the Zelda games but it'll provide a waste for hours and hours of my life regardless!

I got 2 of these for my 6 year old and 4 year old! They absolutely love them! (The rest of the family also have fun playing them!)There's so many games you choose from! Some from my childhood, and some that they know well too! Small but still a decent size! And the batteries have lasted well so far (I know it depends on batteries, but they've been well played with so far so they mustn't take too much power!)The only thing is, the spelling is a bit dodgy! 'Dongkey Kong" anyone!? Haha! I don't mind, makes me laugh! You know what they mean so its nothing major! I'd definately recommend! Good value for what they are!
