Brown Hair Dye

I can't use normal hair dyes because I have a severe allergies to a number of the ingredients in the dyes I was told years ago by my Doctor never use normal dye because it could be life threating, so I thought I give this a go as it don't have any bad chemicals, I must say I am really happy with the hair colour and my hair feels so soft and in really good condition. I contacted the lady from Renaissance for advice and she came back so quickly and she was very helpful, the booklet that comes with this was very helpful too.I use Henna 1st for 3 hours that rise out, I than use the indigo for about 10minutes than rise out my hair got lovely brown shades in. The greys are covered tooThe smell is bad it smells like hot strong tea and it last's for a couple of days but I use a cheap coconut conditioner and it helps with the rinsing, its thick like yogurt the henna another thing is have the bathroom well covered with old newspapers and towels it dose make a bit of a mess. .

I have been using this product for a few years now . It is true that it takes time to apply and at least 2 to 3 hours wait is needed for each , henna and Indigo, but it works for me. White hair is properly dyed a chestnut type of colour, so I am very pleased with these products and will keep using for as long as I need. Also I am allergic to chemical hair dye and I highly recommend these for all who have the same problem, but also to anybody who prefers to stay away from chemicals.

i have been buying those two products for several years and i am always very happy with the result. My grey hair is now auburn and looks very natural.

I was desperate to try something natural and used this product 3 times. I used he 2 step process as recommended the first time, followed by 2 x the combination process. If you have 30% grey or more then I dont think this is for you, the greys did not colour to a chocolate brown - they are more like an orangely bronze and gleam brightly in the light, therefore accentuating your greys even more! Because I really wanted this to work, I used it 3 times to ensure that I wasnt missing a layering effect, each time I have been disappointed with the result, the indigo did not darken to a blue/black or even dark brown, at most it may have dulled the orange from the henna and this last time it doesnt seem to have done anything. This is despite leaving it in for 2 hours. Its a very long process to go through on a regular basis - you would need between 2.5 - 5 hours free time depending on which method you choose. I wont be buying it again.

I'm almost grey, and I aim for the brown with reddish tones, similar to my original colour. For the best results I keep the henna overnight (but if sleeping with your hair covered with plastic foil and a headscarf puts you off, you can keep it on for 3-4 hours during the day). Then I rince it and apply indigo for about 20 minutes. And rince again and apply conditioner. It is a bit messy but I got used to it, even though my hair grows quickly and I have to repeat it every 3-4 weeks, I feel the results are worth it. I have short hair, so the pack allows me 3-4 applications.Whenever I have my hair cut, which I do in a prestigious hairdressing school, the students comment on the nice colour, and the shine of my hair is, and are amazed when I tell them how that it was achieved using pure herbal powders.
