My great grandmother is turning 100 next week. would this be a good gift for her?? i see the big choking hazard warning but grandma isn't under 3yrs

I won't tell that you got them for your great grandma who is turning 100, if you won't tell that I let my (supervised) 2 yo play with them. 

Is it too early for 2year old toddler?

I would recommend duplo blocks for a 2 year old. It will be easier for them (and thus more fun). As a parent of 2 kids, I can tell you most 2 year olds won't have the patience to build a lot out of Legos, or be able.to follow the instructions. Duplo is made by Lego specifically for younger kids. A 2 year old will probably 3njoy duplo for a few years.

Is this a better deal than Medium box which is $35?

I have both boxes. I'm not sure if I would say it's a better deal. I bought the medium one for $30 at Target and it has 484 pieces which is a pretty good deal, I think. but the bigger one is double that price for 790 pieces.

Is the large box just double the pieces or are they different pieces than the medium? Trying to decide whether to get 2 medium boxes (better deal) or

There are 790 pieces in the large box, only 6 wheels, but lots of windows. The medium has 484 pieces with 18 wheels, but only a couple of windows. Might actually be a better deal for two mediums.

My boys love this. It brings them hours of safe fun and the item can be used to make all types of toys of all shapes and sizes. They learn excellent maths skills, they have to read in order to follow instructions, and work out how to make bits fit.
