VU 126 cm (50 inches) The GloLED Series 4K Smart LED Google TV 50GloLED (Grey)

Hi,I am writing this review after 2 months of using VU 4K Smart LED Google TV 50GloLED.Initially, I was searching for 32 inch TV with good picture quality, good sound output and looking for at least 5+ years of good life. One of my concern was power consumption. As most of the TVs in this range consume more than 100W power. I am not a big fan on online shopping. So I decided to first visit all the big brand TV\electronic shops. My Initial budget was around 25K. However, I was not satisfied with the picture and especially the sound and visual quality in this range. My friends suggested to search online. I have gone through almost all shopping Apps reviews including Amazon, TV manufacturer’s original websites and you tube reviews. This helped me to understand very basic TV related technology concepts like 4k, HD, different types of TV panels. After this study, the only TV I could arrive with better review on sound quality was VU. Later, I found through reviews that even the picture quality is also much better than the other TVs in this range. After understanding what is 4K and GLOLED technology from VU and other websites. I was theoretically convinced to go for this 50K GLoLED technology with 2GB RAM and inbuilt sound subwoofer. My budget went to 34K and power requirement went to 124W. Also, I came to know that VU is our own Indian company, where the TV is assembled in Andheri, Mumbai with Foxconn, which is manufacturer for Apple phones. My only concern was this TV is not available in any of the stores to experience this technology for showcase. I have finally got reference in my network who already has other VU model who provided me the real encouraging feedback to make my final decision to order online from Amazon.Finally, I am very happy with all my search efforts. Here are my observations:Installation:Please make sure, you order, free installation service as installation is only done through Amazon. I need to order this service after my purchase after confirming with VU support center. I have not gone for wall mount. The installation was free and done within half an hour once installation guys arrived.Sound quality: This is first thing I checked after installation. After 2 months use I will say it is far better than the other TVs and I do find the need to use any additional sound bar.Google TV Experience:Google TV UI is very simple. Google Home integration with mobile is also very nice. You can use your mobile as remote. Looking your whats Apps and other videos, and video calls on big screen is a great experience. Far Field mike is very awesome feature and works well even from 5 to 7 feet distancePicture Quality:Picture quality is far better than other TVs in this range. Initial brightness is very high. I reduced it to 50%. I will say it is near about 80% of the SONY’s picture quality. I never seen any image of video distortions while watching any content. It gives very pleasant feel while watching the content. I love the Cinema mode for movies and Cricket mode for watching cricket in remote.Extended 2 year warranty:I have subscribed for the additional 2 yr warranty from VU website just to make sure in case of any eventuality I do not need to spend extra many and pain.

Hi,I am writing this after using VU TV after 3 months.1.Picture clarity is good.2.Internet connectivity good.3.Service good4.Sound quality is Fine at this price.5.Google features are ok.6.Wall mount is good. However you can choose of your own type.Like flexible wall mount or fixed.7.HDMI is more comfortable then multiple wires8. So far all good . Will keep updated.

I spent around 34k for this tv. Tv came in a nice packaging and was delivered on expected time.I opted for installation at the time of delivery. So the installation guy came along with the delivery partner. Installation was smooth and hassle free.I had ordered a separate wallmount bracket as the tv wont fit in my tv Unit.(I recommend buying-Model-P4 6 Way Swivel Tilt Wall Mount full motion cantilever).The only con WRT installation was that i was charged extra 800 rupees for installation and the reason being that i have brought another wall mount. (This is something that the company needs to look into)Tv setup-Setup was quiet easy and barely took any time.App installation -Application installation speed was just fine and took me around 20 mins to install the applications.Tv picture quality-Picture quality is nice. Viewing from different angles shows diff color, this can be improved.Tv response rate-There is a lag of around 2+ sec in response time post pressing keys on the remote for the first time. Post which the response works just fine.Remote-Remote is easy to use and have all of the hotkeys available for opening the applications easily.Voice recognition-This is the only part that did not meet my expectations. Most of the time voice is not recognized and you'll have to scream on top of your voice for the tv to detect your voice after which the speech recognition is pathetic and will end up showing wrong results. VU team this is a very big con please work on this part.Application response time-Application response time is high and found it to be a bit laggy.Sound quality -Sound quality is nice and the bass effect is good when set to 5. I liked it.Application switching-App switching, opening and closing is laggy and can be improved.Google Tv setup-I found the setup very easy.User friendly-The controls are easy and user friendly,Cricket and Cinema modes-Nice feature and i liked the cricket mode TBH. I did not find any significant difference with the regular tv mode and Cinema mode apart from the dimming of light and change of shade to yellow.Tv startup time -Startup time is around 1 minI would have rated the television 5 if the voice search was fine. But it does not stand a chance against other brand voice recognition.VU service tv is nice and called me to check the installation status and my satisfaction level with the tv. Kudos to your efforts in making customer experience better.Well it would be foolish to expect a tv to function at lightning speed for just 34K.This pricing of the TV is much lower than other brands offering similar featues.Am happy with the purchase and would recommed the tv to others. Please go for it.
