Weather Defender Premium Garage Door Seal (5.0m)

We have been suffering from the occasional ingress of water through both garage doors after heavy rainfall. I'm forever also sweeping out leaves that blow in under the doors. Ordered a 5m length (with one tube of adhesive supplied). As this was the biggest length available with only one tube of adhesive provided I bought a second on Amazon at the same time just in case (but did not need it).I had read reviews beforehand and saw that some felt the product was hard to cut. I am neither a keen DIYer or a good one, but being fed up with sweeping out the leaves I thought I would have a go. I need not have worried - installation was easy.It helped that I had read previous reviews here and also studied the very useful diagrammatic fitting instructions enclosed with the product. Proper planning and all that.....I made sure I used a new blade on my hacksaw and the same in my Stanley knife. Both cut the product relatively easily - the Stanley knife being, for me, the easiest of the two.The adhesive was a little stubborn initially coming out of the tube (I had left it to warm up in the kitchen overnight not far from the Aga so was somewhat surprised). But once it got going it was fine to work with. Definitely worth wearing disposable gloves, as per the instructions, as it is very sticky, which is exactly as it should be! As can be seen from the photos, I may not have done the neatest criss-crosses but I am hoping no one will now get to see my handiwork for a few years! As suggested by others, after pencilling the relevant guidelines for the strip and then the adhesive, I temporarily fixed masking tape along the outer ones - this definitely caught most of the adhesive that would have ended up on the concrete and will save time clearing that up in the coming days. Very pleased with the end result and, whilst we have not had a heavy downpour since completion, I am confident this will sort out the previous water ingress issue. Hopefully the same with the leaves.All-in-all, in my opinion this is a really great product for the money and well worth the outlay. I would definitely recommend to others.9-month update: perfect! Keeping both water from heavy downpours and leaves from coming in underneath the doors. Still fitted as firmly to the floor as it was on Day 1. Very pleased, very impressed. Perfect!

The strip is well made and easy to fit. Just cut to length and glue to floor. N.B. Only 4 stars as one tube of adhesive was supplied and this is insufficient for this length - 5m . I had guessed that when I ordered, so ordered a second tube form another supplier.

This product was easy to cut to size. I removed paint from the garage floor on the area to which the strip was to be fitted and it stuck really well. I finished it off with a bead of the glue along the front edge which was belt and braces on my part. No water ingress as yet.

I have a block of 4 garages and with the rain in the wrong direction the used to blow under the garage doors. I bought 4 of these sets, laid them in about 2 hours and have had no rain problems since. Brilliant

We recently had automatic roller doors fitted and immediately experienced flooding after heavy rain. This product has completely cured the problem.Very easy to fit. Adheres very well.

Glue was very poor and wouldnt stick to garage floor. Ended up using gorilla glue which did the job

We always had a lot of water coming in the garage after heavy rain so thought that I would give this a try.So pleased that I did!Absolutely great product!Just sat through a typical bank holiday,the whole day it has been really heavy rain and I have been very impressed,no water coming in!Very pleased!

Great, sticks down very solid onto brushed concrete. Time will tell if it stays put but to date its stopped floods and is also keeping out leaves.

Bon produit. S'installe facilement. L'eau ne passe plus mais la voiture si.Par contre une cartouche de colle ce n'est pas assez d'où les 4 étoiles au lieu de 5Pensez à acheter une 2ème cartouche.

Que 3 étoiles car si le produit en lui même est parfait (très bonne qualité) je me suis retrouvé avec 1 seule cartouche de colle pour 5m et en plus inutilisable car complètement sèche. Dommage.Je remonte ma note à 5 etoiles car le cendeur a apporté immédiatement une réponse à mon problème. Très pro et encore une fois, très bon produit !
