Great device until it went off on its own and I couldn't shut it off!
I bought the little ladybug about two years ago and carried it faithfully in my purse. Fortunately I never had to use it. Yesterday I was sitting here at home and talking to a friend on the phone. Suddenly I was startled by a cacophony of shrieks and whistles and cries for help. I thought it was a car alarm outside, as it was incredibly loud. It was so loud (which is a good thing) that I couldn't think clearly.I opened my front door and looked out in the street, but the noise "was coming from inside the house!!" Actually, it was coming from inside my purse. I peered in and saw the ladybug flashing its lights and it was indeed screaming at the top of its electronic lungs.I couldn't figure out how to silence it! I pulled out the alarm pin, but that (of course) didn't help. I still had my friend on the phone, but finally I had to hang up because the noise was so loud and disorienting that I couldn't think clearly.I happened to have the instructions handy, so with it blaring in my face I read, "If something goes wrong, don't open it up. Contact the manufacturer." WHAT??I decided I had to drown it, but I was wary of doing it in the house. I didn't know what would happen if I dropped it in a container of water. I ran out in the back yard with it and dropped it in my birdbath. That silenced it-- at least I think it did, because I couldn't hear it anymore. The lights were still flashing, however.I left it and came back about five minutes later and fished it out with a plastic rake. The lights were still flashing. I set it up on my barbecue grill. Eventually the lights went off. The End.Moral of the story: thank goodness it didn't go off at the symphony or during the Yom Kippur service (as my phone did one year). I think it would absolutely scare away anyone who messed with me. Apparently it's a single-use product.

Cute and does exactly what it says it does.
I have this cute ladybug hanging from my purse in case I need some type of noise maker to attract attention, in the event of an attack. I had not tried it out as I wanted to go out in the country away from people to test it. However, it got caught on something as I was checking out at Walmart. and went off. It was not as loud as I was expecting but it did catch the attention of people. My husband was with me and said he thought it was loud enough to attract attention in a parking lot. He has a profound hearing loss so I guess it is loud enough if he could hear it that well. The yell for "Help" is just as loud as the siren so I am not sure why people are saying the "help" is not loud enough. It is the same level of db as the siren. It is a female voice and maybe a male voice is heard better by the general public. I can also use it to listen to music on my computer. It is not a Bose but we have to consider the size. The speaker works well if you are in a pinch and don't have anything else to use.

Bulky product, not as loud as I'd like.
I thought this product was just okay.Pro: Audible voiceCon: Silly design, large product for keys, sound not as loud.- I was in the bedroom with closed doors and my family was watching TV. They did not hear the alarm. We bought another alarm on amazon that did not have the audible voice but was louder and ear piercing. I like that one better.

Cute and loud
Cute and loud like it says kind of big though wish it wasn't so big and heavy hangs on key chain takes up a lot of room and heavy on the ignition when hanging from the steering wheel. I haven't had to use it yet but if and when I do I'm sure it will help scare off anything I know it scares my dog!
