ARIATWomen's Terrain Boot

Good everyday boot for all occasions....ROOMY TOE BOX
I've been looking for a comfortable boot with plenty of wiggle room and specifically a roomy toe box. It's hard to find roomy toe boxes now so I'm happy to have found Ariat. I wear a size 9 and it's a nice fit with plenty of comfort and enough space for thicker socks if needed. Your regular size should be a perfect fit for these boots. There is not much tread on the bottom for snow weather, but perfect for any other activities. On regular pavement the tread is good and keeps you steady along the way.The leather is soft and no break in time is required, no blisters or chaffing. My first 5 mile walk was a dream. My dogs and I will happily enjoy these boots for many years to come. Perfect for those who love nature and getting outside to explore our beautiful world in comfort.

Great So Far
I am really enjoying these boots.I do want to qualify my review by saying that my son had an identical (men's) pair of these boots and they began coming apart after about a month. I'm hoping he was just a lot harder on shoes than I will be - I will update my review if that happens. So far, they are fairly comfortable - there's a break-in period for the shaft of the boot above my ankle.

Really good, comfortable boots, with one problem...
These are good, comfortable boots for my purposes. I walk shelter dogs in all weather and on all surfaces. I need boots that will perform well on tiled floor, concrete, grass, and dirt trails. These boots fit the bill. The soles are grippy enough, but they also don't pick up every bit of dirt and dog poop. They are relatively lightweight, yet they protect my feet from tree roots and rocks. They are water resistant (not waterproof) and have held up well. My only complaint is that I can't lace them tight enough at the ankle because the two sides of eyelets actually touch. I have perfectly normal sized ankles, not skinny at all, and I wear cushioned socks, so I can't comprehend this design flaw. I'm surprised that almost no one else has reported this issue. I have tried many different styles of hiking boots, and these have been the best for my medium-wide feet. They run at least a half size large. I would purchase these again.

Solid, lightweight women's hiker
This is a nice little boot. I have trouble finding footwear - partly because I am very particular about what I want in a shoe, and partly because I have some pretty serious orthopedic issues that make it hard to find shoes that really work for me. These popped up in a "suggested" sidebar post in my social media one day, and I thought "why not? I like my Ariat cowboy boots, so I'll give them a try." That they were on a good sale was a bonus. Anyway, regardless of how I came to own them, let me tell you about the boots.1) They are Ariat quality (and that's a good thing). Everything seems to be very well-made so far (I've only had them a few months). The sole is well-attached, the lace grommets are solid with no rough edges, and the overall construction is pleasing.2) They look good. Let's face it, that's a factor. Some boots look like floppy clown shoes. Some look like they really wanted to be sneakers. These boots do neither. They are hiking boots with understated style.3) They are lightweight and don't have any extra bulk. It seems like a lot of hikers are getting the "padded" treatment, leaving you with an odd, indescribable feeling... something between being wrapped in balloons and wearing a shoe box instead of an actual shoe. Not so with these Ariats. They are streamlined without being pointy, and close without being tight.4) Along the same line, these Ariats seem to breathe much better than the last pair of "other" boots I purchased, even though those were labelled "breathable fabric" and these are honest leather.5) If I had to make a complaint, it would be about the insole, which doesn't seem to offer much support. That said, they do offer much more support than most hikers I have tried lately, and a good deal of that problem is probably due to my freak-feet and their issues. It was a problem easily fixed by swapping out the insole for a custom orthotic with the arch support I need. There you have it. I would recommend these boots to anyone who needs a solid, dependable hiker. Yes, they are a little more expensive (so keep an eye out for sales), but they seem to be built to last.

Incredibly comfortable
This is my third pair of these boots. They last a long time but I wear them working with a lot of walking. They are waterproof and the most comfortable boot I own.

Nicht zufrieden mit dem Schuh. Er passt und ist bequem, leider ist er nicht wie angegeben Wasserabweisend. Bei einer feuchten Wiese von einer Höhe unter 10 cm sofort Nasse Füße bekommen.

Love them!
Size down !! I’m usually a size 7/ 7.5(slim fit) I ordered these in a 6.5 after reading reviews to go down half a size but actually got sent a 6 but I’m so glad because they fit perfectly! Definitely go down at least half a shoe size. They’ve lasted super well so far- I needed some to do general yard jobs in when it comes to spring time and something I could ride in on the odd occasion. I also work outside on my feet all day and they’ve not rubbed at all. They’re completely waterproof too which is great for this time of year😆They’re super comfy!! Didn’t need breaking in at all and look nice.
