I really like the smoothness and quietness of this product. On the right surface, I can use it as a video tracking dolly. Product is very well made and adjustable. Works well with my tripod and should work with my lightstands.

This works extremely well on very smooth surfaces but due to the nature of physics, any slight bump or texture will result in micro vibrations when using this for video. The wheels re simply too rigid. I used it along with a DJI RS3 Pro and unfortunately it’s missing that extra dimension to smooth it out.A possible solution is to cut and tape some medium to firm, foam strips on the circumference of the wheels to act as a tyre, I’m going to test this and hope it clears the under section of the wheel hub.

Love mine! Attached it to my studio tripod and it works great.

This is not that big and bulky but very well made, I would say light enough to take on location but I have been using it in my home studio which is wooden floored and moving the tripod about on this is much easier than having to pick it up all the time, very solid in design with good screw clamps for clamping in tripod legs, all in all, very happy with it.

The media could not be loaded.  Photography is a hobby of mine and I sometimes shoot videos and or photos which would've been better with wheels on a smooth surface. This product came in handy.It's folded up size is very compact, lightweight and portable in its bag and strap.The tripod on wheels have a useful and comfortable to hold inbuilt plastic handle.The tripod platform on wheels is well designed and easily unpacked and set up in a matter of a minute or less. I found it easy to swing the legs open until they clicked and locked into place. The legs locking tabs were easy to flip up as I adjusted the length to fit my professional tripod legs. The screw part to reduce to lock my tripods foot into the dolly tools seconds to secure. The wheels and bearings are like that of roller blades or something similar and slick and smooth especially on marbled or flat surfaces. I was able to pan and roll smoothly to take the shots I needed. Just by having this tripod dolly made my video clips so much more professional.During certain scenes when I don't require the wheels, I just lock the wheels via the wheel locking tabs. This dolly is super easy to work with when you have scenes where you can utilise smooth surfaces or temporary setup smooth surfaces for filming a certain scene.Taking the tripod on wheels down takes less than a minute and so simplistic. It folds up and so comfortable and convenient to hold to transport it to another place. The wheeled tripod base is well made, looks, feels and works like a professional product.The product represents excellent value for money and helps to make better quality videos.

The SMALLRIG Universal Photography Tripod Dolly is another quality small rig that is destroying the standard price for things. It comes inside a carry case as standard; folds up nicely – to a plastic carrying handle to make it easy to move from place to place; the lightweight 1.8Kg design also helping there. It works fine with 3 leg photographic tripods – like my “full” sized tripods: including a Smallrig Tripod, Manfrotto 057 and Peak Design Travel tripods. My video tripod as a floor stability plate that prevents me using it with the dolly as it needs feet to go into the supports.Extended out these dock into screw adjustable shoes on the dolly rig, which you can tighten when in. I found it best to get the tripod legs into the dolly and then tighten up the tripod. You can easily open the base out for more stability – the range is about 10cm – 30-40cm per leg. Doesn’t sound like a lot but those 10cm make things a lot more stable if you have a tripod at full extension.I had a good run around my apartment building with 6kg (SmallRig say it can handle 15KG so you can use your favourite cine camera here) of camera, lens, battery and other gear attached I found the dolly had a very smooth movement on wooden and smooth concrete floors and it was easy to take smooth shots or change direction mid shot. On carpet, as always, the friction made things a little more difficult. Outside on broken roads the small wheels tended to notice every imperfection, though nothing some image stabilisation couldn’t mask. (And with the 15kg payload possible you could possibly put a gimbal on top to get something perfect.)There isn’t a facility to use a cable guide if that is important to your shoot (if you use a stop motion device for example this may be important).Overall if you want a dolly to keep you going on a shoot this is affordable; easy to transport and use with tripods you might already have around.

This fits my Manfrotto Beefree Live tripod perfectly. Not only transformed my static video tripod into a dolly, but also adds weight and stability to it, so it won't fall over.The build quality is excellent, the materials are top-notch and the wheels roll smooth as butter. Don't listen to the negative reviews - this is an excellent dolly alternative for those on a budget when used correctly. It's designed to run on smooth surfaces, so of course it won't work outdoor or on a carpet. It's physics 101.Indoors, on a level hard floor it works perfectly. If you want to use it outdoors or on any other surface, just use a mat of some kind.The dolly can be adjusted to fit various tripods and the wheels can be locked in place to keep the tripod in place. When used correctly, this is a very good product. Highly recommended.

This is a great tripod dolly! It's universal so should fit them all. Makes my photography so much easy now! Runs smooth as butter but you will have to use it on a smooth surface obviously. Doesn't roll so good on carpet!Quality is 10/10 and is super sturdy and well made, exactly what I wanted!Highly recommended

Coming up on a year since I bought this, and it's been amazing. Used it on a half-dozen shoots, and on a flat floor it's as smooth as silk: it's almost dolly and gimbal-like. Even on iffy surfaces, being able to roll your tripod instead of pick it up and re-level really speeds things up. The price is ridiculously low for how well this performs.

I've found very few products from SmallRig that I've bought that I haven't found them to be well made and work well. This is actually a great product. Design is awesome! It works very well. I did find that it didn't quite extend out as far as I would have preferred but not a deal breaker per se. Surprisingly small all things considered when folded up. It would have been nice if the bag was slightly larger but many things I've gotten are the same. It takes a bit of work to get it back in the bag. Though I haven't used it all that much so far, I expect it to last. Leg locks work well.

Dans l’ensemble c’est pratique.Les pieds de trépieds vidéo ou photo s’y mettent parfaitement.Les roues sont de très bonne qualité. Ce sont des roues de Rollet concrètement.L’ensemble fait son poid et c’est stable.Cependant j’aurais aimé un serrage rapide pour les pieds, visser à la main avec la manette c’est franchement lourdLe fait de pouvoir augmenter la hauteur du trépied sans enlever des roulettes est bien pensé.À recommander

Era evidente que no iba a funcionar como un dolly profesional, pero esperábamos que durara más de 10 meses.Usado sólo en un suelo liso del estudio de una productora, las ruedas tienen pequeños baches que traban y arruinan la estabilidad de la imagen. Ya no se puede usar.Creemos que se han podido romper debido al seguro que tiene la rueda para no moverse. Es un enganche muy duro que presiona fuertemente sobre la rueda hasta deformarla y picarla.
