Welsh Onion - Allium fistulosum - perennial - 150 seeds

Gardeners tend to be generous people, always happy to share the fruits of their labours. The Welsh Onion is a plant that you will be dividing and giving to friends and family for years as did my mother before me. In culinary terms it is a useful fallback providing a mild onion flavour much like chives, although I think the texture is a bit coarser. For me the flowers are the real bonus, they can be used whole as a garnish or pulled apart to give a delicate flavour hit on a variety of dishes.I purchased my seeds in April, they are only about 10cm. high at the moment but I already have in mind who I am going share with.

Very pleased to get my Welsh Onion seeds, they were on time only the weekend got in the way.Well packed and labelled, may seem obvious but they often aren't. Can't wait to sow some.

I have attempted to germinate these seeds for over a month in a warm place and they show no signs of germination. If they eventually germinate I will update this review. I consider myself an experienced gardener so this is very disappointing.

They all germinated, very fresh seed I would think and I am very pleased. I can't wait for them to grow.

Tried various locations in garden & planted at various times - like another reviewer not one seed germinated. Avoid!
