Slips are growing
As others have noted, the slips do look like small twigs. Ours arrived well packaged and still moist. Gotta put them in a cup of water for a couple weeks to let more roots and leaves develop before planting in the garden. Instructions say to not plant until at least two leaves have grown. Ours have been in a cup of water for at least 3 days and show significant root growth and leaf development. We received 13 slips for our order of 10. A couple may not grow, but itโs too early to tell. I am pleased with this purchase and hope they like my garden growing conditions.

For this price and quality, buy a sweet potato and make your own slips.
6 out of 10 were healthy enough to sprout. The others are leafless slips that are rotting. For the price they should send all healthy slips. UPDATE 4 1/2 months of growing and no tuber growth at all. These are weak slips that will not produce tubers. Very disappointed for the price. Donโt buy.

First Time Gardener
Decided late March I wanted to grow sweet potatoes. Being a first time gardener and unaware of the process, I quickly realized I was behind on getting it started so buying slips was the best option. The slips came in healthy enough condition. Only the one with a full leaf had roots. So I placed them all in water for almost a week and the roots came. Planted them and now the wait begins.

Not a good Outcome on this batch either
I purchased these slips at the same time as my murasaki sweet potatoes purchase. These had some roots growing and 1 had a leave, so I had high hopes. I put them in a mason jar and swapped the water out daily. So far there hasn't been any growth, but the skinny slips don't look very strong and a couple are looking like they are dying. I'll update if any of these grow.

healthy purple sweet potatoes
It was my first time growing purple sweet potatoes and I was impressed. I had a nice crop for my first attempt and the potatoes were delicious. I will order from this place again in April. It was a good value considering purple sweet potatoes are almost $4.00 per pound. My crop was mixed with regular sweet potatoes and i received a good beautiful spread.

Not a good buy
I thought purchasing potato slips on line would be a simple task but have learned it's a total and complete waste of money. These slips ( 3 - 4 inch sticks with no roots and maybe a small leaf of two have been in soil for 5 days. I am still watching to see if the roots are developing. THEY ARE NOT. I put markers by each slip to identify them because they are so small. Nothing is growing. I think this is another place I would not recommend. Unlike seed potatoes slips should show some signs of life. These do not and after 5 days they look exactly the same as they did when I took them out of the plastic wrapper in the little brown envelope. I would highly recommend that you not wast your money!!

Poor quality. One of the slips is mostly a stalk with some roots emerging. Poor quality.
Delivered in a paper envelope. Although thick, plants took some beating. Would be better protected in a small sturdy box. Potato Slips are short. One of them barely has a bud emerging. Iโve bought way better and longer slips from other sellers. Followed directions and placed them in water. Hopefully will thrive once planted.
