After reading reviews of several items with a high rating and high number of reviewers I noticed a trend. The ratings largely referred to whether the material felt like vinyl or whether it made the user sweat. I noticed that those reviewers that gave lower ratings had failings of the product when their pet or kid peed in the bed. Well...THIS COVER WORKS!! I have two toddlers, one who is learning to sleep through the night without a pull up and who regularly makes his way into my bed at night. The cover has now survived two bed wettings and my new mattress topper is not only dry, but does not smell of urine!! Also, we didn’t catch the accident right away so it’s not time dependent. For those who care beyond this fact, the cover doesn’t feel like plastic and does not make me sweat at night. The top feels more like a terry cloth. I got one of these Hypnos mattress protectors because I needed a second one due to my 2 years old daughter who naps on our bed. I have owned 2 previous mattress protectors and have had problems with both. The first one's waterproof backing started to flake away after a few washes leaving just a mattress cover so this was a waste of money. The second one faired better in the wash just started to shrink as edge coverage of our mattress was not complete but it still functions as a mattress protector. This Hypnos mattress protector is impressive since it seems to stand up to the washer and dryer cycles without flaking away or shrinking. I have a deep pillow top mattress and this protector fitted sides are able to grab the entire corners not just the sides. Also the fact that this mattress protector can stand up to sterilization temperature is a real plus. I would highly recommend this mattress protector if you have an expensive mattress to protect.

My puppy had two accidents on my bed so that freaked me out. As you can see in the photo, it’s a puddle when he pees. Although he hadn’t had any accidents since I put this on, I don’t worry as much anymore. Will update review if he had another accident regarding how well this protector works. One thing I did notice is that the smell is gone after this protector was put on. Not sure if it’s because it’s been a while but I don’t smell the pee stinch anymore.

I am so happy when I open the box, the mattress protector feels really soft like cotton towel. I used to have another protector for my king size bed, but it was a little noisy when laying on bed, I haven’t test its waterproof capability, but soft feelings and quiet sleeping are which I mostly care.

This mattress protector fits my 11 inches queen size bed very well. A life saver if you have a baby and you change diapers on the bed. It’s water resistant, but when we sleep on it we don’t feel sweaty. The material is very soft and breathable. Overall it is a great product, I recommend it.

Purchased this mattress protector for my new mattress, I don’t want my new mattress gets dirty by my kids again. It’s soft and thin. Waterproof? Yes ,I did a test before I use it, because waterproof it’s most important for me ,kids who might have an accident at night. Fits my queen size mattress perfectly! Love it!!!

Nice quality mattress protector, i guess this can last very long. It is a thin laywer of waterproof material that works wonderful to prevent water damage to our new mattress! It also doesnt have crinky sounds, just soft perfection! Now we are fearfree to have our toddler sleep on our bed! We brought cal king which fits perfectly. I will recommend this pad without hesitation!
