Thule 959100 WingBar Edge Complete All-in-One Racks

Pros - Low height and great looking sleek design - Simple to take on and off, easily in under 10 mins once you know how - Very well made and feels like they'd last for years. Cons - Instructions are unclear and confusing, took several wrong attempts to fit - Because of the sleekness they are less wide than other bars so one 2 bike carriers or 1 carrier/1 narrow roof box is all they hold - So many Thule key locks, now up to 4 sets (1 each bike carrier, roof box and the actual bars!!) This is great, they fit really easily although some fettling is required as the instructions are not entirely clear so I may take some photos if anyone has any issues with installing. My car is white with a black sunroof so the bars really do contrast well and because they are the Aero type they a sleek and cut through the air with ease. Why does this matter, 2 reasons. Firstly the wind noise is low, at motorway speeds you'd never know they are there as tyres and other wind noise must over power the small noise they make. Secondly, as they cut through the air, it doesn't appear to make any difference to the fuel economy either. i recently took them on a trip to France and they are so low that coupled with the Thule Motion Sport box you can go on the standard Eurostar car carriage saving you lots of time on loading and unloading! Also fitted through all the toll gates. Amazing! I've got a 65 plate Mercedes A Class with the build in roof anchors so with the right fitting kit, it slots together easily and once you've built it the first time, it takes no longer than 10 minutes to refit as you've already got it adjusted to the correct width.

Never used a roof box before and was really concerned that as a 50ish female I would be a bit weedy to fix these securely enough, but they are unbelievably easy to fit and because of the design and nature of the fixings you cannot get it wrong. A little pricey but wanted them to look good and above all the reassurance of a top quality make. Highly recommend worth every penny.

These bars are very aesthetically pleasing, having a lower profile and sleek ends which integrate into your car's design well. You do need to buy a specific fitting kit for your vehicle as can be expected. Installation itself took a matter of minutes, however the pictorial instructions do require a bit of patience and imagination to interpret on occasion. They're easy enough to install as one person, but this may be more difficult if you have a van or 4x4. Don't do what I began to do and assume that the thinner edge of the bar faces forward, it's actually the other way around. These bars are very quiet on their own, understandably louder with accessories/roof boxes etc attached - but then the main benefit is that you don't need to remove the whole system to enjoy a quiet journey. If you don't need the accessory then take it off, the bars can stay on and not irritate you like some of the square bars do. I was (un)fortunate enough to get these a bit cheaper from Amazon Warehouse Deals which was the main reason for opting for the top of the range bars as opposed to a cheaper alternative, however I was stung when I realised that the keys and lock barrels are missing from the box - pretty much wipes out any discount I had! Naively, I did not realise they were missing until I had proudly installed the bars on the car, so I'll just cut my losses and purchase a new set in due course... I'll probably buy the same set as the ProRide 591's that I also purchased - if only they hadn't been lost by Hermes (on behalf of Amazon) who claim to have delivered them, but that's another story.

This ad is misleading, after adding my car details, this popped up, and it says ‘Complete’ so I bought it. Only to find out when receiving the item that it doesn’t come with the fitting kit (foot where locks to cars roof rails) I searched online and on the Thule website it said the part for my Mercedes 2016 was discontinued, meaning I had to buy a second hand one on EBay for £45 pounds. Not happy. So far I haven’t fitted to the car yet as I’m waiting for the other bits to come. The roof bars itself look very sturdy and good quality.

Looks good on my 3 series bmw. Wanted black just to match everything else. Was looking second hand but the price difference wasn't that much. These were down as nearly new..possible marks etc from Amazon but apart from the box they were packaged in there was nothing wrong with them.;-) worth the savings compared to new. Fitted car perfect. Didn't take that long to put together and once ready they can go on or off very quickly. Just check to make sure they suit your roof box/bag/items before buying. I use a Thule roof bag and everything fits fine. 10/10 for uber pair of roof racks which look like they will last. A happy customer.

bought this roof rack assuming it will fit to my 2019 Peugeot 5008 but i found out that it require fitting kit that is not included in the package and now i have to order one that is out of stock for now and wait for who knows how long.

Great bars but advertised as complete kit. You still have to but the fixing kit separately and the one I need is out of stock!

Great value. Same product much cheaper than Halfords. Easy to install, take on and off and look smart. Thule are the market leaders for sure you can buy cheaper but you get what you pay for. Locking mechanism useful for added security.
