Easy to reconstitute, this tasty blend of mushrooms is the best I've bought in a while!
First of all, the instructions state to SOAK FOR 25 MIN. then BOIL FOR 5 MIN. for those who have given this a bad review for not following the instructions! 10 minutes is NOT ENOUGH! This blend of mushrooms is one that I'll continue to buy. The mushrooms are of superior quality. No broken mushrooms. No leftover powder on the bottom. I was so happy to find a good, premier blend of mushrooms. The reconstitution is easy. I soak them in water for about half an hour. Then I boil them for about 5-10 minutes. I'm left with juicy, flavorful mushroom that are recipe ready. I even use the juice that's left behind. They are clean with no dirt so every bit of the leftover water I use to flavor my recipe even more. Two thumbs up for this brand. This container will last me for many meals, and it stores nicely in my cupboard.

Great buy!
There is no downside to these mushrooms. I have been using these mushrooms for quite some time now. I first found them at Costco and was delighted to find them now on Amazon. They rehydrate very well but I use most of them as mushroom powder. Just put them in the food processor and grind into a powder. The powder adds mushroom flavor to a wide variety of dishes. There is a nice variety of mushrooms and the flavors are very good. Also very few broken pieces at the bottom of the container. Saves money as there are no fresh mushrooms to go bad in the refrigerator, no trips to the store, and best of all, they are ready to use at any moment.

So delicious if you love wild mushrooms these are a must buy!
These are SO delicious! I used to be able to get these jumbo jars at our big box store but no longer. I was happy to find them on Amazon. A few go a long way to add depth of flavor to most any sauce where you use fresh mushrooms. These naturally contain grit and are very dry. I use my pressure cooker to rehydrate them or you could simmer on the stove top. I rinse them while still dry to remove as much grit as I can then into the pot and cover with water. I pressure cook for at least 30 minutes or simmer on the stovetop for at least an hour or until they are tender. Drain in a fine mesh strainer and keep the liquid to use as the base of your sauce. I then rinse the mushrooms again under running water to get the remainder of the grit out using my fingers to agitate them. They are then ready to go. Then I strain the liquid through a coffee filter so that it is perfectly clean. You now have wild mushrooms that will have you eating your sauce from the pot. Shallots, wine, butter, cream, fresh herbs and you have the star of the meal and your house will smell AMAZING. If you love mushrooms buy these now!

Nice dried mushrooms
This was a great price for a LOT of mushrooms. My previous source for dehydrated mushrooms dried up and I found these on Amazon. The container is quite large, so this will supply my needs for a couple of years. There is a decent mix of mushrooms. Easy to soak a few in hot water for a few minutes to get flavorful broth and some fairly chewy mushrooms to add to recipes. In my experience dried mushrooms are not a great substitute for fresh mushrooms when a recipe calls for fresh, but these are fine for recipes needing dried mushrooms or to toss into a simmering soup kettle. Would buy again ( but not for a while).

Mixed Bag
I ordered this product because I want mushrooms available all the time, but cannot run to the store every time I want to cook with mushrooms. If I buy mushrooms in the grocery store, I wind up throwing half of them out, or scrambling to find a way to use the rest of them in a recipe. I followed the directions for rehydration EXACTLY as directed. However, because this is a mixed array of mushrooms, some are still a bit chewy. Still, I think I'm going to enjoy this product because it's true to it's description, and I'll use them in recipes which take into account their varied degree of softness.

So tasteful.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These dried mushrooms are delicious. I originally bought them at Costco, but they longer sell them there. I found them on Amazon for a bit more money, but worth every penny.

Wonderful Mushie’s!
These are the best! I used to get them at my local Costco for my sister but not this year. Amazon came thru in time for Thanksgiving ❤️
