ACHTUNG! Gebrauchtware bekommen…

Really solid detail brush
I'm really enjoying this brush. It's perfect for detail work with heavily reduced acrylic inks and paints. The thing that I really, really love is how it will beautifully atomize paint even though it's throwing much less air than, say, my HP-CS at the same PSI. The airflow is very noticeably less, and this helps tremendously to avoid spiderwebbing when shading with super-reduced glazes onto a non-absorbent surface. It's a very controllable and consistent brush. I thought I would like the trigger stop but honestly it's not all it's cracked up to be. With this small a nozzle, even under the best conditions I'll need to give it a blast to clear it from time to time, and I can't do that with the stop dialed in. It does have a numbered scale and the threads are good quality. It's very repeatable. It's a well-made tool that feels good in the hand, and the finish on the parts is very nice. I do have big hands and that huge cup restricts my trigger finger placement a bit. I would love to see them make a "B" cup version, or a side cup. I'd be first in line for either one of those. (Or both! Why not both!)I haven't used the MAC valve much, but it's not hurting anything by being there. You may be looking at this because you paint scale models or miniatures. Cool! Me, too! But DO NOT buy this brush as your first/only airbrush. You will be extremely frustrated. This brush is an absolute wonder for very thin mediums, but it's not going to be usable for shooting primer, and it's not a great choice for "general use." (The Iwata CM is no different in this regard.)This brush kills in its space - it's a superb detail brush at a good price point. The only thing I would change is the cup.

“Cheaper Iwata”
Very good airbrush, works great. Good for fine lines and details, similar to my Iwata custom micron, but I had to polish the needle for better performance.

This airbrush is top of the line.
I recommend this airbrush to rookies and pros. It’s so smooth and the response is unbelievable. I was using the iwata eclipse before I ordered the Gsi creos ps-771 and I feel like I’ll never use the eclipse again. Eclipse is a good airbrush but the ps-771 is just a smooth good responding trigger all around great great airbrush.
