Music Man Review I am writing to congratulate everyone at CRS records on your absolutely fantastic DVDs (Row Row row your boat & The Wheels on the Bus). Everything about it is just perfect - the choice of songs and their matching locations, the enthusiasm and good nature of the children, the choreography, the filming and editing, the wonderfully funny Tony as host, actor and song leader. The whole thing is just incredibly professionally done for what must be a small company. The DVD has a recommended age of 3+, but we bought it for our 16 month old baby girl who loves it. She points at the DVD sleeve and goes 'ah, ah, ah' to let us know she wants to watch it. She knows a lot of the songs from playgroups and daddy and mummy know the others. We all sing together. We've already bought two sets, and will be buying more for other children's birthdays. Please pass on this message to all involved - you have done an absolutely brilliant job. --Paul Emmerson from WorthingWe have recently purchased Row row row your boat and The Wheels on the Bus DVDs for my daughter Rose. I am writing to ask you if you will be making anymore music DVDs? Rose can't get enough of them, she loves them. My husband and I can't find the song without Perkins yet and I am especially fond of Granddad's car in Mummy's taking us in the car, car! --Mr & Mrs Fisher from KeighleyI recently purchased two DVDs of nursery rhymes. The titles are The Wheels of the Bus and Row, Row, Row your Boat and each DVD has 20 songs sung by a group of children. The producers have tried hard to support the words with clear actions, drama and props. As we all know children learn a great deal from these songs and EAL pupils seem to pick up the words quite quickly. However I am not sure if their understanding is always supported, especially in songs like Miss Polly had a dolly. I would therefore recommend these products for use in nursery schools, possibly as an extra activity to prepare EAL pupils for singing sessions. --Janet Storey http://edubuzz.org/eal Review: brilliant - My sons, aged 2 and 4, love these DVD's (this one and Wheels on the Bus). The main presenter has lots of energy and is amusingly inventive with his characters, and has a lovely singing voice. The kids are super, and great singers, and they put loads into it. The way the locations change according to the songs is good and keeps it interesting, and some of the songs have the kids singing against simple animated picture backgrounds which my youngest boy really likes. My eldest son is slightly autistic and not inclined to 'join in' with things, but I have seen him doing the actions to some of the songs when they're on. The songs are all lovely - I didn't know half of them before getting the dvds but they're easy to pick up, and my boys wander round singing bits of them, which is so nice to hear. There are no ads or idents at the start of the dvd too, it just goes straight in to the menu which is very good. Review: This is absolutely fantastic a must-have for toddlers that like singing - I bought this for my toddlers a year ago and it has been watched over and over again. they are transfixed by it. My little girl in particular. she knows the words to all the songs and does the dancing as well. It has been watched so many times that when it wears out I won't hesitate to buy it again. I think the chap in the film must have a great sense of humour too! the songs are great too - all the old favourites and they dress up for each different song. doesn't matter if it is cheapply made or not!! you cannot go wrong at this price and the important thing is that the kids LOVE IT!!

Fun for all
I bought this for my 14-month old granddaughter and in retrospect she was too young as it was her least favourite. Now, at 19 months she will select it herself from her library of DVDs(!) and enjoys watching it. Although cartoon characters work well on other DVDs, this is the only one she has with children and she seems to enjoy watching them. They sing well, the words are clearly understood and the actions are easy to mimic. I think the young man connects well with the children and his audience and looks as though he is enjoying himself. With a running time of around 45 minutes, it is just long enough.

row row row your boat
this is an outstanding dvd, i got it for my daughter and my sisters girls who are all 23months. The songs are very clear and are just long enough to keep the kids attention it also has children singing with the songs and they are excellent, some of the songs have real animals in the background eg; old mac donald, the children in the dvd do actions to some songs and my daughter loves to join in with this, when this dvd is on she is rooted to the spot the best money ive spent for a long time and my older children join in too!! next purchase must be "the wheels on the bus" from the same company, wish there was more than two dvds from this film company.

Wow
I live in Holland and my Dutch kid is learning English songs from this collection of DVDs. These are all from my childhood, but in my opinion, the first, `The wheels on the bus`was finer, but maybe that was a chunk of nostagia. As the series progressed, the visual effects got more hi tech, but for my kid this was lost on him. He was proper satisfied with the footage of the kids singing, and that hasnt changed in 2 years. The gentleman around which these dvds revolve is very talented as a childrens entertainer, even if he does break the rules now and again and makes the mums and dads laugh

delightful dvd
Bought this and Wheels on the Bus also for my two year old grandson and he loves it. He sings along to the songs and loves also to sit and "chill" as well, doing the actions.. I think the children singing are very natural and sing with such clarity and my grandson also giggles along at the funny songs. Like the other reviewer said, he also laughs when the presenter dresses up.. His mum commented about him singing all the songs when he goes home so Ive ordered another set for him to take home.. He has his favourites which we have to repeat several times which I think is lovely.. I love it too and even find myself humming them when he goes home!!!! Highly recommended, a truly must have!!

BORING and too SLOW
This is a huge disappointment and doesn't live up to the other reviews. My lively 2 year old who can sing and dance to all the songs was utterly bored by this whole DVD. The songs are too slow, there are not actions, in fact the kids just stand still and sing. It's is awful! Get the Tweenies instead, much more fun!

Good DVD
My 3 year old granddaughter adores Kids Favourite Songs by the same team but this isnt quite as good. There is less opportunity to copy dance moves which my granddaughter does with the Favourite songs one, but it is still worth buying. Tony is a great entertainer and makes it all fun but if I had to recommend a 5 star DVD it would definitely be Kids Favourite Songs.

Dvd sympa mais pas aussi sympathique que twinkle twinkle little star. Mon fils le regarde quand même et apprécie.

I ordered one CD. It did not work so returned it and ordered another one. Same thing-says it cannot be played or recorded or something like that. So, back it went as well. I suggest the company needs to actually record something on the discs!
