VibramMen's FiveFingers, V-Run Running Shoe

The best thing you can do for your feetI
I love these shoes and cannot recommend them enough. They are a very worthwhile investment. They are the first pair of barefoot shoes, and the first five-finger shoes, i have owned. Break in time was nil. They were comfortable from the start. Don't be scared of the thin sole; you can walk on all kinds of terrain with these comfortably.I used to have bunions on both feet (outward hypergrowth of the first metatarsal), which pushes your big toe inward, affecting your balance, causing you to walk on the outside edges of your feet, and can contribute to lower back pain as well. I had them corrected surgically and, in my opinion now since buying the Vibrams, I wish I had been wearing these since then. Or maybe if i had worn them before that, bunions wouldn't have developed. In any case, after wearing them now regularly for several months, I notice that each of my toes is stronger and can move independently of the others. If you don't wear wide toe-box shoes, you would be surprised how much this contributes to better balance and leg strength.Since buying these, i have also bought a pair of Altras zero drop, and I don't know if i will ever go back to non-wide toe box shoes. They are simply much better for walking, for balance, for unsquishing your toesies and allowing them back into a more normal position. It is the best thing you can do for yourself in terms of strength, posture, balance, and ultimately, comfort too. Also, if you like conversation starters, these shoes are it! People either used to have them but gave up on them, or want to know more about them. They are eye-catching :D.Additionally, they are also super-easy to pack; they don't take up any space at all. And yes, you can throw them in the wash.

Another great shoe by Vibram
The fit was snug, but perfect as these always flex out s little.Really good price and fast delivery to Australia with reasonable postage. I save about 50% on buying these locally. The upper material is a change for me and what I’m used to with previous vibrams. It feels more elastic, less rigid. The base felt harder but thinner than I expected. More a return to the old KSOs. I was hesitant. I’m running long distances in these and training for a Mararhon. I need protection and support with a minimalist foot-strike/drop.But as soon as I got out running in them I loved them. I feel light but protected, fast and comfortable.Another great shoe by Vibram!

Serviceable but ultimately disappointing
I have been running in Vibrams for 7 years and I'm sad to say that these are the worst pair I've owned. They do improve upon the Bikila in certain aspects, but overall this is a step in the wrong direction.Pros:1) Design - I will say that these shoes feel the most like a seemless extension of your foot. They are light and make you feel like there is mostly nothing on your foot.2) Vents - The vents are a welcome addition to the shoe. They keep your foot cool and oddly, even though I ran through dirt, great at keeping stuff out.3) Stitching - I've had a few Vibrams in the past that have had, what I like to call, "rogue stitches". These are basically threads that were sticking out inside the shoe and would cause me to have blisters until my feet grew calluses or they wore the stitches down. These do not exist on this shoe.Cons:1) Size - as many people have said, these shoes are easily a size too big. Unfortunately for me I could not go any lower in size. I have always used the smallest shoe size, which always fit perfectly, but these are slightly bigger. The toes are where I feel the biggest discrepancy, which have already given rise to blisters after only one 4 mile run.2) Build quality - these shoes feel cheaper than any Vibram shoe I've ever owned. The left shoe of my pair was poorly constructed and bias my foot into pronation. This is a huge flaw to me as it could potentially alter running mechanics, which is a problem for a shoe touting natural running.3) Laces - I might be in the minority with this "con", but I think the laces are beyond stupid. I recognize that they probably switched from Velcro to laces because it's easier to put on your foot, but there is so much extra material that is unbelievably useless. They make it a longer process to put them on, obnoxiously protrude from the shoe for literally no reason, and it looks ridiculous. I wish they would give you the choice between Velcro and laces.4) Durability - I average 2.5 years per Vibrams, but I'll be surprised if these make it through one year. After only one run I can see wearing of the sole. As I said before, these feel cheaply made and I will echo others' comments and concerns about the build quality. They do not feel like they're meant to last.I bought these because I could not find Bikilas anywhere. Overall these shoes should hold me over until the next iteration comes out, but for the premium price they charge, they are ultimately disappointing.

I think I'm just unlucky.
So I actually bought 2 pairs of these. First I got a 9-9.5. And they were just a tad too long so when I ran my toes were not fully into the slots. There was about a finger width of room between my heel and the back of the shoe when my toes were fully forward. So I got an 8-8.5 and they are the perfect length, but they're too tight across the top of my foot to be truly comfortable. I still run in the shorter ones, but I can't where them for long enough to run long distances (3+miles). I kept the long pair for walking in. I really like the improved stability I'm experiencing with them compared to my Brooks Ghost shoes. They're a great shoe for crossfit style workouts, mobility and balance training, stretch routines including yoga. Would recommend, I just hope your feet aren't as oddly shaped as mine 😅.

Comode e ben fatte

Scarpe comode e leggerissime. 161gr numero 46
