Narrow Gel Pad for 7"-9" Wide Bicycle Seats

I purchased this seat cover to use in my spin class because pricewise this seat cover is at the higher cost end of bicycle seat covers, and I was hoping that cost equaled comfort. That was not the case. For cushioning comfort this seat provides about the same comfort level as lower costing bicycle seat covers that I have purchased in the past. However, this seat cover is very well constructed so I am hoping that it will last much longer than the less expensive seat cover in which the gel inside breaks apart due to the constant standing and sitting motion experienced in spin classes. Time will tell.

As described, and easy to install on my mountain bike. It does provide extra padding, but I wouldn't say there is no pain / discomfort using my bike for about 30 minutes of spinning.

I bought this seat to get myself starting in Spin Class. It holds the seat quite well and is narrow enough for small seats while still being the in between size that I could move up to the wider seats on a different spin bike. Still narrow seats though, and this pad works on them both. 3 months later and still no issues. Just don't forget to tighten the string after putting it on.... that does not end well.

I've been changing saddles for months, in search for the perfect one for long rides on my fitness bike. Somewhere along the way I decided to try a gel cover, thinking it might be the solution I was looking for. Well, when you seat, your weight rests on your two rear bones, displacing some of the gel to the center, and some to the sides. The gel that goes to the center raises, pressing against you and ends up reducing the circulation and numbing the areaafter 45 minutes to an hour, The canal in the middle doesn't do much as gel s very elastic; the saddle below also has a canal, and the seat cover completely negates its effects.So, what seemed like a good idea, ended up being the most uncomfortable of all the tried solutions (at least for me). My wife is using it now, but she rarely rides for more than 30 minutes, and It does feel incredibly comfortable during the first 30 minutes, so if you only plan on having short rides, go for it, its heavenly. Also, and this is just a theory I haven't been able to prove, it may work better for women than for men, because of the anatomical differences, but my wife never rides long enough to prove /disprove this.FWIW, I ended up buying a selle royal respiro, and I'm happy with it.

I really love this saddle cover on my new spinner bike! The original saddle was much too uncomfortable for me (61 yo and spinning is new to me). Haven't gone to a class; prefer spinning at home to dvd's. Doesn't appear that it can be laundered so spouse and I spritz it with a little Lysol spray after each use!!! The customer service is top-rate; they helped insure I was ordering the correct size before shipment. Plus it arrived earlier than I expected! As far as comfort; the gel is very thick, the underside is non-slip, and the tightening toggle holds tightly to the seat. I tried the seat with gel-padded biker shorts and discovered using both was too much 'jelly!' :-D So this gel-padded cover is all that's needed. You might notice using your core more in the seated position in order to stay centered, but I like that. Reminds me of the necessity to engage one's core on the Total Gym! It's actually a plus! :-) "Happy spinning!"

I can't think of any purchase that I've made in my 61 years that I can truly say has literally saved my a**!! I bought this seat cover for use with my AD2 exercise bike, as the pain from that wonderful bike's seat had become unbearable. My rear was numb and then horribly painful, not too mention the pain to what one might call my private parts! This seat cover is like HEAVEN for your behind!! I can now ride strenuously for extended times with no rear-end discomfort. I love this seat cover so much that I bought another one for my regular bicycle, and it has truly enabled much longer rides. I should add that the customer service from DerriAir (gotta love their name!) is superb. They double-checked my bike seat's measurements with me to make certain that I was ordering the correct size seat cover, and they got it to me about 4 days faster than expected!! THIS is the place for bike seat covers!!!

I got this hoping the dip in the middle would offer some comfort. Unfortunately, the divet dissapears when placed on a seat (don't know why). So this is just a foam pad. If 'soft tissue' discomfort if your concern, this doesn't help.

It's not riding on a cloud - but wow what a difference!I had surgery in an area that is especially sensitive to the seat two years ago. I have not been able to take a spin class for quite some time - after taking a class - I would be in pain for days.Happy to report after my class yesterday - feeling fine!
