The height of the medium crate is ~23.5 inches. In the product description 'Size: Medium - 32.5L x 23.5W x 22.5H in.' the width and height dimensions are transposed. The 'Overall dimensions: 32.5” x 22.5” x 23.5” ' is correct for length x width x height.

Can my dog lift off the topper? If my dog wanted to "get out" and tried to push the lid/topper off, would she be able to or does it secure?

I guess this would depend what kind of dog you have. We have only been using this kennel for 1 week, our dog is a small 12 lb. maltese so he is NOT able to do anything like that, it is very secure. I am happy with this purchase!

I dont understand does this crate set over top your kennell or is it all one piece?

Its not one piece. the bottom and the top are separate. We are using the crate as a gate so its not all put together. It was the best gate forthe money.
